Wheel of Nightmares (http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_of_Nightmares) is tonight. If I don't start on time, it is because there is a crowd of about a half million people standing between my office and home (Concert for Valor) and I have to drive around it.

half way through the anniversary week.

Tonight is a night to learn about our favorite animal, the owl.

The raffle following is for a fire flaring, +9 spell aim, T1 ensorcell runestaff

Members will want to attend Friday night's private event. It has expanded way beyond its original scope, which was pretty sweet to begin with.

I will be casting the ensorcell for the raffle tomorrow night.

Tomorrow night's event starts promptly at 9pm est, "Choco-vention Dessert Contest"! I am providing the following as a prompt for those who want to prepare in advance. Contestants will be judged on style, execution, and 'taste' so make sure you provide all three as we may someday wish to present our Chef's with your recipe to offer it a permanent home at Twilight Hall!

[Twilight Hall, Manny's Kitchen - 18854]
Warm and inviting, the fragrance of freshly baked bread lingers in the air of this spacious kitchen. A small boy sits near the fire slowly turning a series of steel spits, while the Head Cook and her assistants bustle with the activity required to feed the membership. Pots and kettles line the walls, and canisters of pungent spices stand atop the long counters. An ebonwood pantry nestles amid the counters and various kitchen accoutrements. You also see a pair of swinging doors, an oven and a smooth ebonwood lever.

Rolfard exclaims, "Welcome to Manny's Kitchen, a MOST magical place. It is here that we convene tonight in a dessert cook off. Without further pomp I will begin!

Rolfard says, "First, you must mix your dry ingredients."

Rolfard tosses fist-fulls of flour, soda, powder, cinnamon into the air recklessly where they swirl together into a wispy white bakers cloud!

Rolfard says, "Then the wet ingredients."

Rolfard removes two full sticks of hearty sunshine yellow butter from casket as well as two large brown eggs, and a small dark glass bottle with a vanilla label.

Rolfard smiles as he tosses it all into a large mixing bowl and with a snap of his finger, watches a whisk jump from the shelf and into the bowl at full speed!

Rolfard exclaims, "A bit of coffee liquor for taste!"

Rolfard flicks his wrist and a small dark brown bottle with a skull and crossbones appears in his hand. He adds a liberal amount to the bowl which is whisked neatly into the now fluffy mixture! Then he takes a nip for himself!

Rolfard exclaims, "Now to combine it all!"

Rolfard snaps his fingers.

Rolfard smiles at the swirling cloud of dry goods swirls into the large mixing bowl, the whisk becoming a blur of motion!

Rolfard exclaims, "This is the base for my very special Rolfard's Redonkulous Rolls!"

Rolfard smiles as he waves his hand over the bowl. The dough leaps from the bowl and onto a slab of marble. Another inviting wave of his hand inspires a rolling pin to join the medley of kitchen wares. It happily spins as it flattens the dough across the slab.

Rolfard says, "Although this is a chocolate themed event, I cannot forget my other favorite ingredient..."

Rolfard hefts a rather over-sized slab of raw bacon skyward then promptly releases it where it hangs in the air. He snaps his hand with a sharp chopping gesture and a gleaming chef's knife slingshots into the air making short work of the bacon slab.

Rolard smiles as he directs individual slices of bacon to march through the air and dive into a porcelain casserole dish filled with maple syrup. As the bacon 'soldiers' emerge from the other side they leap into an adjacent dish filled with more cinnamon and extra raw sugar.

Rolfard exclaims, "Ok bacon, go to your roll!"

Rolfard snaps his fingers.

Rolfard smiles as the bacon marches to the marble slab and then dive onto the bed of dough like dominoes. When the last slice of sweet, sweet bacon has lied down the dough rolls itself quickly up into a log. The chef's knife once again takes the stage turning the log into individually equally sized rolls which lie flat side on a baking sheet.

Rolfard exclaims, "This will need to cook but using our fantastic oven it won't take more than a moment!"

Rolfard points at the baking sheet and then the oven. The baking sheet slides from the counter and through the air into the oven which opens, seemingly with a grin! The door slams shut and suddenly the room seems to be engulfed in the heat of volcano, but only for an instant. The door to the oven opens up and the sheet emerges along with an exotic delicious smell.

Rolfard exclaims, "Now for the very special ingredient of the night!"

Rolfard snaps his fingers.

Rolfard smiles as a mithril cask of pure liquid dark chocolate stumps into the room. It leans forward as if in a bow as roll after roll leap off the baking sheet. One by one they dip themselves into the cask and emerge, dripping in dark chocolate, bore laying back down on the baking sheet.

Rolfard says, "Just a touch more to finish these..."

Rolfard hefts a final mixing bowl, filled to the brim with gleaming white glaze. Strangely, he manually adds a layer of glaze with his baker's knife to each roll with a happy albeit insane look in his eyes. Taking a shaker of cinnamon, he adds one more brisk shake over the whole tray before presenting his baking tray triumphantly!


Rolfard takes a bite of his glazed chocolate-covered cinnabacon roll.

It tastes like a dense ball of heaven punching you in the tongue followed by a growl in your stomach that is a groan of pleasure for all to hear.

The light taste of cinnamon is nearly overpowered by the strong maple overtones, bacon, and sweet chocolate.

The frosting and chocolate cinnamon swirl bask your senses before the crisp bacon and maple leap into forefront!

for the last night of the anniversary, the 7x Ithziri leathers draw at 10:45 pm

Immediately after we will spin for 13 people, and those 13 people will play a quick game for a very nice mystery prize.

At 11 pm members are invited to attend our annual merchant hour. Please be prepared with designs for simple items, or something to have lightened or deepened.

Another very nice mystery prize will be distributed at some point during or after the hour for members only.
