WTF, anyone else having trouble with Hulu? It goes to the commercial break and goes to a black screen. I waited like 10 minutes to see if it would advance past the commercial to no avail. Earlier I was able to reload the page and it'd fix that, but it doesn't do it anymore. Woe is me.

I don't have any ad blockers, and it was working fine on the show I was watching right before. Just not on this one.

Sucks because I only have 11 minutes left on this show too. :/

Yeah, I tried a trial offer or whatever a while ago. Those ads were annoying. I stay away from Hulu now.

Hulu was having issues yesterday for sure.

I don't mind the commercials so much. Do I wish there were less, yes.

I also realize that those commercials pay actors and crew. Without a designated amount of plays, companies can get away with a day rate and no residuals because that's not something the dinosaurs in the industry Guild's have figured out how to set up the royalties for yet.

Last few years have been horrible for people in that business.

Of course, that has nothing to do with why Hulu is fucking up.

I've never seen YouTube play ads during a video, only before the video.

I like when you are wanting to watch a 20 second youtube clip, and the ad before it is one of those 1:30 ads with no option to skip after 5 seconds.

I've seen it, but rarely. I think it's only on certain channels.

It's a terrible model for advertising though, and I don't feel bad when I see websites begging me to disable adblock.

People that monetize their Youtube channels don't need to have ads but the video must also fill a time gap. Or that was the last time I heard of it. A very silly system.
