flares as much as normal flaring weapons. But if you can get the cman spell cleave you can dis-spell critters before you swing.. assuming you are successful with the scleave.

I dig this; enjoyed other dispelling weapons against certain creature types, too. In my experience with scleave though, it's sadly impotent and needs a boost.
