Though I do realize claids aren't as popular as they used to be.

They have enchanter's marks guys, they must be legit. There's no way you can modify your AS in +5 or +10 increments.

And those people would be correct. The problem in this case is that Invar isn't actually enchanted. The +2 is like...it holds a sharper edge than steel, or something. You can't hit magical creatures with it. Invar claids are mostly worthless, couple hundred k if you can find a sucker. I certainly would not be advertising one as "a 1x claid", since that has a very different effective meaning.
