Vote for the Captain of the Mist Harbor Militia

With recent events unfolding and Captain Almenduin's death while protecting Lady Merrielle the post is coming up for a vote. I'm in the running for it so be sure to head out and vote!

Why should you vote for Durakar you ask?
Well let me tell you that as a member of the Palestran Guard he has had training in solo combat, squad tactics, as well as learning aspects of how a platoon functions and moves. He has often read the logbooks and diaries of his ancestor, Mage-Captain Ehrit al'Yari and learned a thing or two about ship based combat. On a personal level he is always willing to help where he can and whom he can.

In a skirmish that extended all the way from the Western Harbor docks into Mist Harbor itself, the pirates attacked with a vengeance. Once again, brave adventurers fought back. The pirate Captain, Kterro, revealed himself at the height of the krolvin's power to gloat and threaten his would-be vanquishers. Too cocky, he was brought down by his foes.

In the wake of the battle, the krolvin retreated to their ship or vanished into the jungles surrounding Mist Harbor, leaving Western Harbor safe once more.

Merrielle made an announcement in the Commons that she would be accepting nominations or candidates for the Captain of the Mist Harbor Militia. Several brave individuals stepped up to be named candidates for the position. These individuals are: Jarlstrom, Mirandabliss, Ardwen, Durakar, Sensou, Chamorr, and Masrath.

Voting will begin this coming Day of the Huntress (9/26), and will end next Feastday (9/27), a week from today. Then, next Restday (9/28) a ceremony will be held to appoint the new Captain of the Militia and also Merrielle will be accepting recruits for the militia itself. Anyone who is interested in protecting the town is welcome to attend.

Merrielle also stated that while the candidates are campaigning, preparations will begin on furnishing the new militia with more skilled warriors.

She wished good luck to everyone who is running for the position, and is highly hopeful that the future of Mist Harbor will be brighter, and much more ably protected than before.

A soft voice intones, "Attention everyone! The voting booths are now available in Mist Harbor to cast your vote for Captain of the Militia. Booths are located on Gardenia Lane, outside the Gatehouse, and outside Firefly Villa. Voting will end tomorrow night, so make sure to get your voice heard!"

A soft voice intones, “All those wishing to attend the inauguration of the Captain of the Mist Harbor Militia, or to join the militia, the ceremony will begin at 5 o’clock today in Gardenia Commons.”



Join Merrielle today at 5pm in Gardenia Commons for the inauguration of the new Captain.

At that time she will also be taking recruits for the militia.


OOC Note: I made an effort to avoid conflicting with Naelyne or the Ta'Vaalor OOC Meeting. Not to mention the CHE Festival and Platinum events going on today, whew!
