Stat/Skill Critique

Hi all, been reading a few posts like this for a while now, and I kind of want to figure out where I sit, what I should tweak, etc.

Lvl 41 ranger, mainly hunting by OHE ambush from stealth, with the occasional spike thorn etc to help bring the DS down. I seem to be dying a lot lately in Shan (likely my fault, not theirs), and wanted to know if there is anything I could improve. Was even pondering doing TWC ambushing from stealth, but I imagine that will just help me die even more. Thoughts? Thanks for all your input.

Umm yeah, 2x OHE. That should be a given. Take points out of FA, lores, shield, whatever--just get OHE to 2x. Also, move 10 spirit spells into ranger spells. At your level, it's expected to have wall of thorns, which is one of our best defensive spells.

Like droit said, your primary weapon should always be 2x, so get OHE to 2x. To get the points for that, I would drop hiding to 1x. My sylvan ranger (profiled you ingame) has no problems hiding from anything but the most perceptive creatures with 1x hiding and his ranger spells up. I also wouldn't worry about lores at your level. There are no low level sweet spots in lores for rangers like there are for other professions, so you'd be better off putting those points into other combat skills like shield use or combat maneuvers.

Awesome, really good input. I was worried about not being well-rounded enough, so it's good to hear you guys say dive in and get my AS up. I may use a fix skills on this as it'll take a while to get the skill migration. Thoughts?

Yeah, use the fixskill. And don't forget to move those spell ranks!
