My bad. Should have done a search. Radio Lab is awesome. Don't know why I stopped listening to that one.

I don't know who that is. I was referring to Eugene Mirman.

If you like A State of Trance, I can recommend the Global DJ Broadcast, a podcast of a 2 hour radio show done by Markus Schulz, pretty much the same format as Armin's. First week of the month is a recording of a live set, while the others are studio sets that often bring in guest DJs.

I also listen to Radiolab and Welcome to Night Vale, and I'm probably going to pick up Startalk soon. Thinking of giving the Nerdist a try as well.

I have a problematic addiction to podcasts.. I listen to many of those mentioned here including Radiolab, This American Life and Freakonomics. I tried Night Vale but I found it kind of boring, not sure what I'm missing. Others include...

Quiz shows:
Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
Ask me Another

Science stuff:
You Are Not So Smart
The Infinite Monkey Cage (highly recommended, from BBC Radio 4)
Generation Anthropocene
Stuff You Should Know
Inside Science (another BBC Radio 4 production)

Politics:
DecodeDC (seems to be on hiatus)

Other:
CarTalk
Eric Busby Presents The Byron Chronicles (Fictional radioplays with a distinctly Dr Whovian flair... The same producer also actually does Dr Who radioplays)

Then when I've run out of updated episodes, I might listen to some German language podcasts in a hopeless attempt not to forget everything I learned...

None. I don't like the word podcast, and I will not support its proliferation.

That's a shame. You'd love Hardcore history, Gelston.

I always preferred reading history... I feel that you are actually required to pay more attention to things when you read them.

Necroing for #trypod month :)

My Dad Wrote a Porno (http://www.mydadwroteaporno.com/) consistently makes me almost drive off the road due to tears of laughter. Start at the beginning, listening in order is important.

Jay & Miles X-Plain the X-Men (http://www.xplainthexmen.com/) for people too lazy to read 20 years of comics.

The Mortified podcast

People reading their childhood diaries/journals on stage in front of strangers with no embellishments, "just god given awkwardness." Funny stuff.

I enjoy when he does the MC for the Philharmonic Orchestra on WFMT in my area. He's got that "Classical Voice".

It's Cool to Like Anime (https://soundcloud.com/its-cool-17311156)

Hosted by Emily Yoshida for the ex-Grantland readers among us, she brings in guests and talks about anime. First six episodes are (mostly) about Yuri!!! on Ice, yesterday she started doing Madoka Magica. Some cusses and adult subject matter.
