Waedon comes and tries to kill me several times in town beforehand, that time I just let it slide. He can't, but I let him try.

He also tried to kill my sorc friend.

The world before you dissolves into a grainy montage of color...

You find yourself wandering amidst endless streaming light and vast nothingness. This place feels torn between two powers, polar opposites vying for your loyalty. You are surrounded by the spirits of those who could not choose. The only way out seems to be through light or darkness.

Time has no meaning as you wander aimlessly amidst the uncomfortable tugging for your attention. Hopelessness washes over dreams you once held like the creeping tide of doom.

After what could be moments, or perhaps an eternity, the goddess Lorminstra finds you wandering in the endless space and speaks soothingly to you. She gently reassembles the pieces of your tattered soul and then, taking you by the hand, the goddess leads you back to mortality...

[Temple, Altar]
The altar is plain, and bears only onyx bowls of smouldering incense and smoking paraffin. Draped behind it is a cloth banner, appliqued with an ancient mystical pattern. A legend is embroidered along the bottom. On the far side of the room at the end of an aisle, you see two pillars.

[Temple, Chapel]
Two pillars frame a simple chapel. Followers of the land's many religions offer prayers here, each to their own gods. On a pine pew a Zhaolmin monk in tattered robes sits beside a solitary elf softly intoning an ancient chant. In front of the pews, you see an unadorned altar. You also see an ebony door, a curved arch, a black arch and a white marble arch.

[Wehnimer's, Erebor Square]
The dome of a large temple rises above this peaceful square. The circular building is surrounded by marble porticos and teak columns, and a promenade leads to two pillars, through which the inner sanctum can be glimpsed. Priests, acolytes, monks and worshippers move here and there, engaged in various rituals of devotion or study. A locked almsbox is securely bolted to an iron pole alongside the pillars. You also see a wrought-iron gate and a glowing white stone.

Several small shops crowd along the street, which is composed of the back walls of the high buildings bordering the central square. Each storefront vies with the others for street space and the attention of the many travellers who pass through here. Other traders, hoping to take advantage of the traffic attracted by the nearby temple, have set up stands and pushcarts spilling over with clothing, trinkets and souvenirs gathered during their travels far and wide. You also see a pretty flower girl and the clerics' shop.

On the west side of this narrow stretch of Cheridin Avenue is the wooden back of the Moot Hall, and the dour building that houses the local constabulary and its jail looms along the other side of the street. To the southeast, a stone dome rises over the compound that surrounds the Landing's largest temple. The traffic here flows quickly north and south without much pause.

The intersection of the broad avenue with the narrower byway connecting to the bazaar to the west creates a fleeting bottleneck in the foot traffic. Older wood and stone buildings, mostly small shops and offices with upstairs lodgings overlooking the street, predominate here.

The constant din of the merchants, tradesmen and hawkers in the shops to the west is muted here. The cracked pavement, scattered cobblestones, and dirt drainage ditches along the side of the road form a not-so-gradual transition between the bustling avenues of the main bazaar and the less frequented, humbler, and more unsavory sections of the town. You also see a low stone gate.

[Town Square, East]
Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous and bustling shops. You also see a shaggy mutt and a large wooden barrel.

[Town Square Central]
This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end of the space, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see a white cat that is sitting, a large acorn, some manna bread, some full leather, a leather sheath and some stone benches with some stuff on it.

This corner of the square is lively and hectic. A number of representatives of the Landing's population, including several elven loggers and a party of rough-looking dwarves, loiter around the door of the Raging Thrak Inn, where the rowdy cheers of patrons and voices raised in songs of many sorts, from snatches of heroic ballads to blushingly bawdy tunes, beckon you to enter.

The street runs between the northern palisade and the central square to the south and east. The traffic is varied here, as shoppers, traders, travelers and merchants mix with the ever-present and watchful militiamen. Rowdy cries and raucous laughter, as well as some oddly unidentifiable sounds, emanate from behind the drawn curtains of Cholgar's Bathhouse, which occupies nearly the entire block. You also see a ruined wooden rolton with a dilapidated sign on it.

The road turns gradually at this point as it forms the northwest corner of the city. The main path curves along the north and west walls, and another leads south between the buildings. The cobbled road girds the town along the inner side of the northern palisade. Just to the north stand the twin sentinels of the gate's guardtowers. Guardsmen come and go through the main gates, keeping a close eye on the people of all races who move to and fro. Opposite the gates, you see the shop of Dakris the Furrier.

Vigilant guardsmen scrutinize the citizens and travelers arriving and departing through the wide gateway spanning the land route into Wehnimer's Landing. The frenetic pace of the city to the south is a far cry from the deceptive calm of the wilds of Elanith outside. Two daunting towers survey the countryside and protect the town, flanking the road to the east and west. You also see the Houston disk and a wooden barrel.

[Raging Thrak Inn, Dining Room]
Loud and abusive noises emanate from behind the swinging kitchen doors, much to the laughing delight of some of the customers, and to the chagrin of others. Tapestries hanging from the walls depict soothing idyllic wildlife scenes. Hard wooden tables and chairs are placed evenly, allowing enough space for the cook and wait servants to pass. You also see a cozy nook and some inviting tables.
