I couldn't figure out a way to make this request on the KP site so I'm coming here.

Could someone add a page listing the speech verbs? And maybe a "how-to" for using speech, tone, and directing your talk to a person/object? I'd love it if there was one page I could point new players towards to bring them up to speed on all the ways you can modify speech.

If you would like to write the how-to page, then I will be happy to format and post it.

This is currently what is up:

It's not on Krakii, but I made a table awhile back to help find the right tone and speech verb based on it's rough meaning... Tones on tab 1, speech verbs on tab 2.

If it's compatible with Krakii's formatting, one of you editor-types can add it if you wish.

Usage:
SAY [modifiers] {message} - Speak a message aloud

Where [modifiers] is zero or more of the following:
:{tone} - Speak the message in a particular tone (see TONE LIST for a list of tones)
::{object} or @{object} or {{object}} - Direct the message at someone or something (eg, ::door or {heavy door})
]{object} or [{object}] - Attempt to throw your voice behind someone or something (eg, ]door or [heavy door])
~{language} - Speak the message in a particular language (see SPEAK for a list of languages)
={verb} - Choose a verb to indicate the speech style (see SPEECH VERBIAGE LIST for a list of verbs)

Examples:

Using a speech verb (needs a space after say): say =sneer Hi

You sneer, "Hi."

Using an apostrophe in lieu of say (needs no space after '): '=sneer Hi

You sneer, "Hi."

Using a tone: ':venomously hi

You venomously say, "Hi."

Speaking to a person/object: '::table hi

Speaking to a low table, you say, "Hi."

Using the @ symbol: '@table hi

Speaking to a low table, you say, "Hi."

Using the curly brackets (needs a closing bracket): '{table} hi

Speaking to a low table, you say, "Hi."

Throwing your voice: ']table hi

Throwing your voice behind a low table, you say, "Hi."

Throwing your voice only with more keystrokes (needs a closing bracket): '[table] hi

Throwing your voice behind a low table, you say, "Hi."

Using a language: '~elven hi

Speaking in Elven, you say, "Hi."

All together now (include spaces between each modifier): '~elven =sneer :venomous ]table hi

Throwing your voice behind a low table, speaking venomously in Elven, you sneer, "Hi."

Or: '~elven =sneer :venomous ::table hi

Speaking venomously in Elven to a low table, you sneer, "Hi."

Order does not seem to matter: '::table :venomous =sneer ~elven hi

Speaking venomously in Elven to a low table, you sneer, "Hi."

You can also set your tone prior to crafting your next message and only your next message:

tone venomous
You will speak venomously on your next message.

'hi
You venomously say, "Hi."

'hi
You say, "Hi."

I'm going to hijack this thread for future requests. As the person currently doing most of the edits on Krakiipedia, I would like to recruit people to write some articles. I can't do it all myself. I know the ideal situation is for people who are interested in writing to get editor privileges, but that isn't happening on a frequent enough basis and I've asked but have not received and probably will not receive the powers to make all of your editing dreams come true.

If you volunteer, please respond and let everyone know what you're working on. Please have substantial progress made within two weeks (something with accurate information to be posted, it doesn't have to be completely finished, I know sometimes I'll write a lot of something, and then leave it for a few weeks to a month before picking it back up again).

In your articles, please notate when something is a game log, even if it's just a few lines. Please also read http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Help:Style. I can take care of the formatting and linking between articles.

1. Weapon banes

2. Sprite quest

When you're done, please email me .doc/docx/rtf to (mycharactername) @gmail.com or link to google docs. One thing about writing for the 'pedia is you have to be open to your work being edited.

Other articles beyond what I request are welcome as well.

I also have editor powers at Krakiipedia and I finally remembered my password, so if there anything specific anyone has need to be added or fixed, you can let me know as well.

I've been using ;crit_type_tracker lately and feel pretty confident the damage type split of morning stars is 62.5% crush/37.5% puncture. At 284 hits, 178 have been crushing and 106 have been puncturing.

I have them. I gave my Krakii account away when I quit GS though. Don't know if they still use it.

General description of and thorough information on resistances is lacking. Anyone want to take a crack at it?

Also I rewrote Spirit Beast yesterday if anyone has the knowledge to properly review it. I know there's not that many SBers out there.
