Dendum and I thought it'd be great to see everyone's submissions. According to the post on the officials, only first and second place will show on the home page after they decide on winners but, we want to see everything. I'll post mine in a bit.

edit: this isn't about comparisons or critiques (unless you want that), it's about enjoying each others work.

No grails allowed! Minotaurs okay. Simon Zelotes as a dark elf is amazing, I wish I knew the storyline so I could see the significance of the other substitutions but I'm sure they're good too.

I saw Dendum's work before but I see something new and interesting every time I look at it. The minotaur and gorilla (yes yes, I know...KROLVIN) are still my favorite bits though.

I sort of rushed through my entry. I was going on vacation and would be away during the entry deadline. I came back to realize I rushed, submitted then it was extended...I didn't bother to go back and try again. I'm not exactly happy with how it turned out or the subject really. I wanted EPIC and just did Walkar.6857 I can point out a million little mistakes. Ugh..Anyway. I'm not done depicting this storyline and hope time will allow me more chances to explore. Tisket and Dendum, wow. Love what you guys did. Good luck to all entrants.

I was going to try and depict the shadow demon that appeared when she died as well as the people that were there but it got too unwieldy so I just went with the moment of her death.

I am starting to wonder if the GM's are suffering from simucon hangover.... it may be the fact that Kenstrom did not go that is causing the story line in the landing to move forward.

dawh u gaise WELL there are so many glaring errors all over the place it drives me nuts, and of course I went with my first composition thumbnail and lazily was like 'well maybe i don't have to have the knight dudes doing anything.' So then most of them ended up just standing there. SELF CRITICISMS ASIDE, I'm much more accustomed to pen and ink with either washes or screentone or celshading.

This was a crazy rush job for me... looking back on it now, all I see is sloppy. July was probably the worst possible month for this contest to be held for me. Constantly out of town, moving, etc. On the upside, I think it's also a new speed record for me!

Thank you all for your patience while I compiled the artwork and ran a vote for the submissions. Congratulations to Bristenn and Banty for taking 1st and 2nd place in the Cross into Shadows artwork contest! We all had a challenging time voting, as every submission was quite impressive! I have all of the artwork posted via the link below, so you can see the 1st and 2nd place entries, and then I've also added the other submissions as well, so all of the hard work can be displayed!
