Can't log in to stormfront with one character?

Yesterday I started having trouble logging in one character via stormfront. My other four characters log in fine, and this one did too yesterday, but suddenly I get an error message every time I try to log in. Before Stormfront can start up, I get an error message that says:

Layout Paragraph: GetTextExtentExPoint and then a C++ runtime error for stormfront.exe.

I'm running Windows 8.1.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. I've tried running stormfront.exe and launcher.exe in Win7 compatability mode.
All of that character's info is saved locally. I can log in with that character on other computers using Stormfront, or from the problem computer using the web client.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried logging into that character with a different Front End? I just want to make sure it's a stormfront only error and not something crazy going on with the character data.

Something in that character's config file for StormFront might be messed up.

One of the XML files in c:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\StormFront\G S4\ is your character's loadup information. If you've ever exported your character settings, you can delete the files in the above directory and then reload the XML data from the exported file.

I'd log into each character that you can, and export their data. Then delete all those XML files in the above folder. All of your characters will then log into StormFront with default build, and you can import the XML file to fix the other guys. The only one you will have to start over with, is the broken guy, but you can load one of the other character's profiles and build from there.
