Okay, apparantly this is Bard season, cause I rolled one up too. Just wanted to get an opinion better than my own...and yeah, I know polearm bards are fun, but I wanted to try something a lil different. So, any suggestions? Advice? And maybe a recommendation on a good Cman?

I don't know the answer to this question, but it'd be pretty nice if you could sing up two sonic weapons

You can't sing two weapons. However TWC bards are excellent none-the-less. At medium to higher levels only though, I'd say.

Yeah, you were telling me about Bonehitter, he sounds pretty awesome.

Well, I've got a fire-flaring longsword, and if I sing up a sonic weapon, and maybe work on my air lore...get the double flaring from it, and the flare from the weapon. And of course, using mstrike is a lot of fun too! So, do his stats look alright? Training seem okay?

*edited because I can't spell at 5:30 in the morning.*

If you want a Cman, spin attack would be the way to go.

Things look alright, but it will be tough for the first 20-35 levels. After that, things should get easier.

Just asking because I don't know myself, but don't you need to 2x two weapon combat for it to be effective?

Nope, I don't remember the exact formula but it's something like half your weapon ranks and half your TWC combat ranks (that's not the actual formula, maybe it's 6/4) make up your off hand AS. It's possible with one rank per level, a lot of semis do 1 or 1.5 ranks a train.

And yeah, what Chadj said is right, TWC DS really sucks for about 25 trains, it gets a bit better after that though.

Bonehitter does not use two weapons. In fact, every single bard over 90 uses either straight OHE/Shield or pole arms, heavily favoring OHE/Shield.

Soulpieced is correct.

Due to the fact that by 90 trains, we can either swing a short sword dealing 35 damage per swing at a 1 RT, or a polearm doing 60 at 2 RT.. well, the short sword > Polearm at that.

Also, Polearming bards is a newer fad. Used to be the majority of bards were OHE. To my knowledge, at least.

But before you are able to effectively use 1035, I would say that Polearm greatly exceeds the OHE/Shield option.
