The wall itself is a straight line. From the stairs, you can go west a few rooms before it dead ends, and going east, it'll curve a bit to the northeast before it's a dead end.
It is the only area of the four that you won't get attacked immediately on arrival.

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but how do you get to these areas from any other known area in the lands?

There's a portal in the Landing. Go on South Ring Road (2 south from TSSE), and you'll see a purple fog that'll get you to the Swale.

There really was not much of a story on that specific day, Pylasar just showed up saying he had spoken with the hall and they had granted access to the portal room in the swale, he did some hocus pocus and the fog on south ring road was created and we all split up to go visit the various locations. There was some stuff going on the Tavern near the Demon Wall but it wasn't really "Story arc" related.
The Demon Wall was dropping people pretty well last night.

Mostly because of the friggin vathors in there. The other creatures weren't too bad... The hags had a manuver that could cause a 50sec RT which would equal death to most people but the biggy was the vathors.

I do love the new areas, critters, and taverns (Glissandro is back too).
All my deaths were to room mesaging effects though. They are frusterating and the lethality should be toned back (kind of cheap to walk onto the wall and instant death with nothing there).

Yeah, I had a void that happens in room messaging take off my leg and give me a 12 round stun. (incidentally, the longest stun I've ever had)
I had a crazy sequence this morning where I got immolated twice, mass dispelled twice, and was getting drained by a primordial all at the same time, but still survived b/c of 1150. best spell ever.

Yea those voids love hitting me in head or neck. I've also gotten the demon messaged fireball to head. The third area effect is the crimson ewave that comes from below or somewhere but that hasn't been fatal to me yet.

Had a blast last night with a group including Rtune and Kerl. Probably why I survived it. They can be mana intensive. Everything was ok but those dreadlords....man, they have a high TD to empath spells. Are demons considered undead? Do you need a bless? If not I'm getting out my good bow.

I believe for unphased demons you need a blessed weapon that is at least 8x enchanted.

Awesome. That has always been one piece of game lore I found really fascinating. Are there any OGS NPCs? If someone could post the room descriptions that would be great.
Here's what I could find from the officials on OGS NPC's that have turned up lately.
From the recap last posted by Kenstrom:
* Sir Toliman Taggart, a knight of the Order of the Golvern Star, arrived in Wehnimer's Landing via the Glaesen Star. The knight had briefly visited Kharam Dzu where he had traveled to lay his father to rest. Sir Toliman briefly spoke to those gathered in the town of the gathering darkness at the Demonwall then explained that he would be setting off to return to his post the following day.
* Sir Norallen of Honneland, who had come to Wehnimer's Landing to seek out a legendary weapon in a quest to join the Order of the Golvern Star, brokered a meeting with some adventurers and Sir Davard to discuss his blade. Sir Davard lectured everyone on the power of Koar and the might of men over blades, and then his audience was allowed to leave without harm.
From the NPC Breakdown:
Sir Toliman Taggart
A Knight of the Golvern Star, he was first met getting off the Glaesen Star in Wehnimer's Landing, after putting his father to rest on Teras Isle. He returned to the Demonwall to help his brothers in arms after word of an increase in demonic activity along the great wall.

Demons are not undead. Demons are extraplanar. Demons, initially, require 8x or better blessed weaponry. You can dispell the crap out of them and phase them to allow lower enchant weapons to hit them.

the hags are considered undead, and possibly another denizen of demonwall. i can tell when b/c when i animated a demonlord and it tried to swing at hag it said it was undead. (thefore demonlords are not undead either as undead can swing at undead)

Just FYI, there's still tons of logs of me using a 6x 40pt weighted greataxe against grims. This axe shouldn't be any different other than the gore scripts and whatnot.
You should see the crazy frequency that my 10x t5 ensorcelled maul goes off on the poor grims. I'm using the CMAN for the ensorcelled stuff too, so I'm getting two strikes on each ensorcell round. That, combined with the fact that my weapon gets double swings with the full bond.
I'm swinging like 6 times per wave of berserk, plus two more for each wave of ensorcell, plus an extra swing every once in a while for the bond. I can chew through like 100 grimswarm per 10 minute hunt. Combine that with a 640ish AS, and it's kinda stupid. (edit: only technically possible to kill that many that fast when other people are with me to help with spawn rates, otherwise I'm just waiting around with nothing to do between waves).

When I was discussing my idea about the weapon chain yesterday it got me thinking that this sort of axe would be the perfect candidate. That led me to start wondering where you were and why there wasn't a berserk log with this. Then you suddenly show up this morning out of the blue... Do you know what they call that? A complete coincidence. But I'll allow you to imagine that this is destiny and you were meant to cleave copious amounts of grimswarm with said greataxe! You can't argue with science :D

Ugh. Don't get me wrong. I of course want it. I went full maul though. I carry around the 10x t5 one, the chaos maul, the high enchant troll bane maul, and a crit weighted maul. I just can't bring myself to do it. I could certainly make logs with it, but I dunno about buying it.
