Cool.
Sounds like Ani Di Franco though

Edited to add: not that that's a bad thing.

Oh yeah, I've seen him before. I have a different clip of him on my computer, but I could never remember who it was.

Heh, being someone who is just learning the guitar at present, I am in total awe of this guy. Wonder if with years of practice I'll ever be that good.

Ani rocks, but I'd agree that it's not her guitar playing which makes her rock.

Buffalo love!

The guitarist in the video clip is actually a guy named Justin King.

I'm on the slow ass dial-up, is this that little kid that can cover Clapton and BB King like they're simple?

After watching the video, it looks very badass, but all he's doing is basically playing slap bass on a guitar. I'm sure any trained slap bassist who can also play guitar could play something equally nasty.

Damn straight he is, Keller rocks hard.
Soulpieced has a good point too, I can pull off some really crazy stunts on a guitar with the right pickups playing with my thumb, bass-style. Tim Reynolds kills him. Kills.

Pretty cool stuff...

He's using a tapping technique that was revolutionalized by a guy named Stanley Jordan - although there was quite some controversy when he first hit the scene because Emmet Chapman, who invented the Chapman Stick, sued Jordan because he had actually patented the tapping techinique for use on the Stick.

Anways .. check out some of Jordan's stuff if you get a chance .. pretty awesome player!
