some spiked vultite studded leather
+30, studded leather, spiked, +6 to TD
mb 2m

I found this in a box. I tested the armor’s td boost by having my wizard cast 501 at someone wearing it vs. wearing a shop bought set of studded leathers (please let me know if I should be doing more testing with different spell circles, etc.).

some studded leather -> CS: +177 - TD: +186 + CvA: +9 + d100: +61 - -5 == +66
some spiked vultite studded leather -> CS: +177 - TD: +192 + CvA: +3 + d100: +45 - -5 == +38

Inspect:
Your careful inspection of some spiked vultite studded leather allows you to conclude that it is rigid leather armor that covers the torso, arms, and legs. You also notice that it is spiked.

Bard song:
The first thing that strikes you about the leather is the weight, which is about 16 pounds. In your best estimation, it's worth about 4,050,000 silvers. You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure of the vultite studded leather.

You sense a faint aura of magic around the vultite studded leather. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the leather is as some type of defensive garment.

It has a bonus of +30 from a normal leather, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it is rigid leather armor. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet.

The harmonics generated tell you that the leather serves to protect from magical attacks.
