Do spells boosting AS like 211 and 215 (and the empath ones but their numbers escape me) also apply to the UAC system for boosts? New to UAC and really liking it, while having a hard time understanding it and its gear. Hoping spells that boost standard AS also apply to UAC. Any insight is appreciated.

Any booster to AS is a boost to UAF. UAF isn't the endall though, you will want to watch the MM portion of combat line most of all.

Any ideas how to boost MM? From what I have read, making sure to stay open handed helps (I'm guessing dual open is ideal but I need to keep my shield on me) anything spell related that boosts MM? or is it merely the opponents stance? I was reading that the attackers stance does not matter *or at least my interpretation of that*

Illuminating a room with the spell, Light (205) will increase MM +5 but at the cost of -10 DS to everyone in the room, including the caster of the spell. You can also increase MM by degrading the defender's ability to evade, block, parry attacks by disabling/injuring the target.

The unarmed attack factor (UAF) is not affected by stance.
The multiplier modifier (MM) is primarily a function of stance of the attacker, not the defender.
The unarmed defense factor (UDF) is affected by the stance of the target.

The ONLY weapons in unarmed combat are the hands and feet. Everything else is either worn or held equipment. There is no MM penalty for worn equipment (handwraps, footwraps etc.) Any HELD item will add an MM penalty.

There are several brawling weapons designed to function with unarmed combat but it is important to understand that they are not classified as weapons when used with the JAB, PUNCH and GRAPPLE attack commands. They are merely items of equipment with special properties.
