Regarding these spells, take a look at this thread... I have quoted the relevant portion.
"Bonuses for either the attacker or defender having the Mobility and/or Lucksong spells active have been added."

While it is common knowledge that both of these spells help defend against maneuvers, I think this quote is saying that they also help your CMAN sweep, trip, charge, etc attempts against mobs. Now, with mobility I have tested it and found that to be true. I recall see 6-8 improvement in the difference between my roll result and my d100 roll when mobility is active vs. when mobility is not active.
Now, with lucksong, I have never seen the "you feel very lucky" message when using CMANs. However, because a GM post said there was an effect, and because I have observed an effect with mobility, I would guess that there is some effect.
Having said all that, anyone out there know more about this subject? Just curious about it, thanks!

I saw the "You feel very Lucky" on a CMAN Charge last night. I'll see if I have auto-logs enabled on my bard, and pull it up if I can and if I remember. Was the first time I'd seen it, although I don't CMAN too often.

Just for some anecdotal evidence, I have seen the lucky messaging while using cman charge and cman trip. On the defensive side it kicks in on a lot of critter maneuvers. but it might be interesting to see if it kicks in on all creature maneuvers/cman's or just a specific set.

I dont use any offensive CMAN's but it definitely triggers defensively even with no points in the CMAN being used. I believe the difference between the two is that mobility adds a straight bonus where luck song by definition gives the user a chance to proc a second roll(You feel very lucky). You wont notice it adding to your d100 for that reason(it doesn't).

Thanks. Guess I didn't stick with it long enough when testing (I thought I made enough sweep attempts to see it, but I guess we were really unlucky w.r.t. lucksong [the bard was very young at the time]).
I did some side calculations, and I think if I have an 80% chance of success on a sweep, and I get a second roll, the chance that at least one of the rolls while be a success is 94%. That is a big increase in chance of success, in my mind (the ranger version applied every time but from my memory only added a small amount, like 6-8, or so).

Just as an aside, mobility only adds to your defensive CML if you are under 2x in CM. Your total bonus won't ever be above that of 2x CM.

having a properly trained bard and one old enough to have actually focused on bard ranks is definitely a key to this study. Using a young bard probably wont give you any real results at all.

Ok, just to share with others in case there is someone else wondering about this - tried again with a bard that has 14 spell songs and we definitely got the messaging on our feints, sweeps, and dirtkicks.
Both of us got the messaging (there was some time where I was wondering of the ability was self only as the bard kept reporting the messaging and I did not - then suddenly I started getting the messaging too...)
