Who's going where?
Texans need a QB more than they need Jadaveon Clowney. I'd be worried about Clowney and Watt together. They sound cool about it but those are two big egos in the same D huddle and as they learned last year, you win and lose with QB's. They've sounded lukewarm on Manziel compared to other teams but that can be gamesmanship.

I had too google Hoyer. That's what I'm talking about.
There is one thing about it that I'm ok with. The Browns have ruined a lot of prime draft picks at QB.

That's good news. I'm from Cleveland and have soured on seeing them be so bad for so long.
Where do you think Manziel will go? I think the Cowboys will take him if he's available and I'm not sure who between this pick and the Cowboys want him.

The cowboys just gave romo a monster contract. I can't imagine they'd bring manziel in. It'll only cause confusion. The cowboys should go DE or CB.
Manziel might slip to ARI, and if he gets past that possibly to CLE. I'm not a huge fan of Manziel. I'd rather have bridgewater.

I don't think Bridgewater is smart enough to be an NFL QB. Physical attributes are above average, but I think pro defenses will eat him alive. With that said, I think Manziel is RG3 2.0...he's gonna get folded up like a cheap suit a couple times by these 250-pound linebackers and get scared.

Carr. I think he's the best in the draft. We'll see.

It's a gamble. He'll put people in the seats but I think of him more like Tebow 2.0. Manziel's definintely getting humbled right now. Time will tell if it makes him better for it.

Really? I watched bridgewater on espn last week and he seemed pretty bright , down to earth. I thought he carried himself well. Manziel is douche bag. I hope he sits until Saturday.
The cowboys should go with Clinton-Dix.

Not saying he's a neanderthal, but it takes a special sort of logic to keep up with modern NFL defenses. Bridgewater is known for spreading the ball around a lot, his 3rd and 4th checkdowns get the ball more than those in other programs...this could be because he's making smart choices, or it could be because he's completely confused by the defense and sticking with his safety blanket...again, it's just speculation on my part. But watching his film, I'm leaning more towards the latter.

Any chance Manziel can go in the 2nd round? They were speculating about that on local radio the other day. I feel bad for the guy. He looks like shit on T.V. and is drinking a ton of water.

Of course he could. Or Arizona or Cleveland snatches him up.
The jets should go WR here. Lee or cooks.

Not sure what to think about my team's (Giants) first pick...like Boomer was saying, during our last 2 Superbowls we had an absolutely fabulous Line on both sides of the ball, and a good argument could be made that that won the games for us...right now, they're both kind of in disarray. I know we got rid of Nicks, but I'm not sure drafting a short WR to replace him was the right move. Our offensive line is shit right now, there were quite a few really good linemen still on the board. Hell, at pick 12 only 1 had been taken so far, by my count.

I don't like Geno Smith and Brady Quinn was a 22nd pick for the Browns. So was Brandon Weeden. Johnny's got a jinx to break.

last night, I stopped watching a feed around pick 31, figuring that Bridgewater was going to be there for the Texans tonight. Of course, Minnesota trades up out of nowhere.
If Texans are going to pick a QB, it'll be Carr....but boy, would that be difficult. People here still hate his brother. Of course (because our team can't seem to grasp that we need a QB), I'm hearing that Louis Nix might be the pick. Guess we'll know in 30 minutes.

Man, rb have become so disposable, not a single one drafted in round one. I thought the rams had the most solid first round draft. As a dolphin fan, i was really disappointed they didnt trade down for some more picks, especially after they reached for the lineman they got. I think the vikings did well with bridgewater, time will tell of course. Ready for round 2....

http://time.com/94608/dont-freak-out-if-michael-sam-isnt-drafted/
The wording of this piece cracked me up... some excerpts:
Sam, the SEC defensive player of the year, has a real problem. He’s a classic tweener: potentially not big and strong enough to play on the defensive line, where he started at Missouri, but not fast enough to play linebacker in the NFL.
If Sam’s name isn’t called over the next two days, expect a flood of hysterical questions and forced debates. Did teams pass on him because of his sexuality, and use his lack of size and speed as a convenient excuse? Did they not want the media “distraction” that would accompany Sam, wherever he goes?
Before rushing to call out NFL execs as bigots, however, consider: whether he’s drafted or not, Sam will get his chance to show a NFL team he can play.
Because worst case, some team will invite Sam to camp as an undrafted free agent. Here, I’ll trust those five scouts in McGinn’s poll who said they would sign him. It would be crazy for no team to at least give the SEC player of the year a look in camp. From a pure football perspective, it’s a low-risk, potential high-reward move. Thelist (http://www.realclearsports.com/lists/top_10_undrafted_free_agents_in_NFL_history/) of undrafted free agents who later became stars is impressive, and includes Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, ex-NFL MVP Kurt Warner, and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who signed a luscious five-year, $43 million contract extension with the team last summer.
So if you’re a Sam fan, or are just rooting for his social message — a gay player can be accepted in the most “manly” American team sport — don’t freak out if his name isn’t called. If no NFL team extends Sam an invite to camp, that’s when things get fishy. That would reek of weakness and bigotry.
So, the article goes on to say how he's not big or strong enough for the position he's played in the NFL.. how many players who were undrafted ended up getting to play and became great players.. but if Sam doesn't get drafted, then the NFL are a bunch of bigots. It reads like 2 or 3 people wrote the article, since it contradicts itself throughout.

I wonder about how much he'll develop. He's been in QB training his whole life so he pretty much is what he is. He'll never be a great drop back pocket passer and I bet he gets killed doing his improv in the NFL. It'll fun to watch while he lasts.

With the exception of not picking up a top QB, I'm pretty happy with the Bucs draft so far. If they get Mettenberger today, I'd be pretty happy.
I also believe the Giants did well in the draft, with maybe the reach of Bromley being the only questionable move. They still need some major help at TE and another big, young body on OL.
