...for a free portrait.
Yeah, my list is getting short so I need to solicit more victims.
Could be someone you know and interact with in game or maybe its some random person you saw with an interesting look that you'd like to see visualized. Or maybe it's someone you hate and hope to make uncomfortable (no, I'm not making a portrait of someone and portraying them screwing a sheep whilst wearing a dunce cap or something else equally ridiculous. Unless that's what they want of course.)
So look around and PM me textual descriptions!

You see Hoy.
He appears to be a Halfling.
He is tiny and appears to be very young. He has tiny, slanted black eyes and burn trauma over his visible skin. He has extremely long, spiked blue hair matted into tight dreadlocks and bound by a twisted circlet of veil iron spikes and thorns. He has an extremely dirty, tiny obsidian and red goatee. He has a tiny little unibrow.
He has a tiny halfling tattoo on his finger, a tattoo of barbed wire across his forehead, a red bolt of lightning tattoo inked in a twisted coil on his neck, a band of viciously barbed spike thorns tattoo encircled with bolts of lightning on his ankle, a tiny tattoo of letters which spell out "ADA" on his arm, and a tiny tattoo of letters which spell out "AHOY" on his arm.
He is wearing a long iris pendant, a tiny hat, a black leather cloak, a glowing golvern pouch suspended from a thin golvern chain, a tiny golvern-linked bolt and arrow quiver, a vaalorn alloy elven shield, a titanium-set sheath with a deadly vicious-tipped spear and a human bone bow strapped to it, a burial shroud of devil skin, and a big bag.

You see Sir Bristenn Mires the Knight-Errant.
He appears to be a Human from Honneland.
He is alpine in stature and appears to be young and robust. He has brooding, haunted pale ice-grey eyes and fair skin. He has short-cropped, tousled deep cordovan hair that falls stubbornly over his left eye. He has a grim, stalwart visage accented by deep frown lines at the center of his brow. A deep scar mars his face, running across it from above his right eyebrow to under his left eye.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a silver locket, a side-buckled white wool surcoat crossed at the hip with two leather belts over a suit of heavy steel field plate-and-mail, a leather swordbelt, a gold-tipped pale ivory warhorn, an old leather medical kit, a pair of heavy steel-plate gauntlets, some leather breeches, a pair of heavy steel-plate sabatons, and a pair of golden spurs.

You see Aiska the Cadet.
She appears to be a Human from Seareach.
She is short and appears to be young and untried. She has sleepy blue-green eyes and tanned skin. She has long, straight sandy blonde hair tucked under a tightly knotted ebon muslin bandana worn as a skullcap. She has a freckled nose and deep laugh lines.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a hoary blued krolvin skin with skull pauldrons, some old ora augmented chain, a drake-winged insignia, a large vruul hide back-scabbard slung over her shoulder, a thick thrak hide knapsack, and some rough leather boots.

Not that I have some severe fascination with artistic rendering, but I am rather curious. You were looking for something fun to make. I'd like to see if you could pull this off via the transformation.
>Exam Neelin
You see Lord Neelin the Avenger.
He appears to be an Elf.
It is difficult to properly see his features as the hood of his longcloak is pulled down over his face.
Neelin pushes the hood of his hooded longcloak onto his shoulders, glancing about his surroundings.
>Exam Neelin
You see Lord Neelin the Avenger.
He appears to be an Elf.
He is very tall and appears to be very young. He has silver-flecked crystal blue eyes and tanned skin. He has shoulder length, wavy golden blonde hair streaked with silver. He has a straight nose and a broad chest.
The air around Neelin briefly shimmers, an illusion forming around him.
>Exam Neelin
You see Lord Neelin the Avenger.
He appears to be a Giantman.
He is gigantic in size, with the appearance of an ancient astral cerulean demon. His mystical blood red eyes intermittently flare and glow with the light of licking blue flames. He has two twisted horns that curl back along his head, sharpened to wicked points at the tips, adding to his height. Splaying out from his hands are five knife-sharp claws, each gleaming and pale, with deep green fire coursing along their lengths. Two expansive night blue wings sprout from his broad, muscular back, flaring out behind him.
I would be intensely fascinated to see how you'd pull that off. Not as a challenge, but as something that would be quite skilled to make happen, I would think. If you'd like to, hey groovy. If not, no biggie =).

Got this guy volunteered by Alasatia's player. Liked his look so he jumped the queue:
You see Grhim Anyukal Faendryl. He appears to be a Dark Elf. He is very tall and appears to be venerable. He has crazed, gold-tinted eyes and pale skin. He has long, unkempt white hair that is knotted in many places and ripped shorter in others. He has a gaunt, severely angled face and deeply sunken cheekbones. Jagged silver canines can be glimpsed briefly between his lips.He is wearing an ominous night-black onyx jackal symbol inset with eerie ruby eyes suspended from a fine black ora chain.

Hah, I'm volunteering this dude. Saw him in Solhaven:
ou see Master Varsric Ty'Vorl Faendryl the Ravager.
He appears to be a Dark Elf.
He is alpine in stature and appears to be an adult. He has dark-circled aster blue eyes and jet-hued skin. He has a shaven head of black hair just visible under a night-hued leather hood pierced with two curved bone horns. He has a pair of severely chisled cheekbones that enhance his sharply defined face and severely upswept pointed ears. The harsh cut of his features and overly large musculature lend him a rugged, brooding presence. He has a five-fingered bone claw for a hand.
He has a small black skull tattoo on his ear, a black chain tattoo on his neck, a patch of ebon-inked scales on his wrist, an age-darkened ivory lion tooth inset with sanguine rubies in his left nostril, an ebon trail of viciously spiked barbs inked down the left side of his face, and a series of fractured bone shards in his left eyebrow.
He has minor cuts and bruises on his back, and minor bruises about the head.
He is wearing a spiked argent rolaren cobra helm, an etched veil iron aventail, a lustrous night-hued bear hide fastened with spiked glaes chains, a jet crocodile skin vest fastened from neck to waist with coiled glaes chain, a purple-veined black leather backpack, a bandolier of jet-eyed albino alligator hide over a spiked ebon serpentine breastplate, a ruby-eyed mithglin python armband, a tightly coiled glaes serpent vambrace, a crimson crystal-inset ring, an eahnor skull ring, a steel-barbed belt of matte black leather, an ink black oilcloth bag, an argent bear hide loincloth bound with smoky glaes chains, some spiked rolaren leg greaves, and some heavy belt-wrapped sable pyrothag hide kneeboots toe-set with glaes spikes.
Geijon Khyree
05-10-2014, 05:38 PM
Married couple:
You see Geijon Khyree the Defender of Wehnimer's Landing.
He appears to be a Giantman of the T'Kirem Clan.
He is very tall and appears to be in the prime of life. He has piercing crystal blue eyes and tanned skin. He has long, wind-tousled golden brown hair shot through with fine silvery strands. He has an angular face, a straight nose and a small goatee. Tiny flecks of sea blue have formed within his pupils.
He has a ruby-encircled gryphon tattoo with tiny lettering on his arm.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a gleaming rune-scribed maul in his right hand.
He is wearing a gold filigree white starstone earring, a golden phoenix pin, a sleek burnished ora greathelm striped with black iron studding, a rune-carved minotaur horn cylinder, a maul-etched golden stickpin, a pair of silvery mithril-scaled gauntlets, a platinum-bound maoral badge, a twisting silver cuff bracelet linked by a talon splayed gryphon, a dark golden mithril signet ring inlaid with a majestic faceted firestone phoenix, some smoothly articulated mithril field plate reinforced with rolaren, a gold-linked livery collar with a firestone inset winged phoenix emblem, a ghastly yew seed pendant suspended by a length of sinew, a white bearskin cloak caught at the shoulder by an onyx-backed nacreous shield, a silver clenched fist symbol marked with crimson streaks, a Warrior Guildmaster pin, a gold-threaded scarlet velvet gambeson, an engraved silver belt buckle, a black enameled bracer with a silver gryphon set in a ruby circle, a black braided hair tie, an imflass threaded war harness, a capacious black canvas backpack, a long black wool surcoat emblazoned with a white shield, an onyx and ruby wedding band, a blackened steel signal horn strung on a black suede cord, some intricate ivory prayer beads spaced with silver crowns and pearl shields, a gleaming mithril mesh satchel, some black warrior monk breeches with a golden Voln symbol on the thigh, and some supple black leather boots with a reinforced metal shin clasped with mother-of-pearl shields.
Maul
The maul is polished to an incredible sheen with bands of mithril snaking around the long haft to reinforce the handle before resolving in a series of golden runes imbedded into the vultite. Glistening brightly against the pale blue of the vultite, the runes coil sinuously around the flat hammer-like head of the weapon. Also along the base of the head where the haft is joined to the head seems to be more common script etched on a square ring binding the two.
Armor
Expertly crafted, the phoenix is set in such a way that it appears to be ablaze as it swirls in regalia amidst the gold leaf. Upon the pauldrons, unmarked and polished, the white shield of Voln is carefully inlaid in pearl. Though somewhat scuffed and battered, the black color of the armor remains true. The joints have been cared for meticulously, their function still fluid and strong. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
You see High Lady Evialla Violetskye the Witch.
She appears to be a Faendryl Dark Elf.
She is tall and appears to be in the flower of life. She has long-lashed violet eyes and golden brown skin. She has thigh-length and lustrous, wavy deep auburn hair shimmering with fiery copper and golden highlights. She has a delicate face, an aquiline nose and slightly upswept pointed ears. She has gold-swirled glossy crimson lacquer brushed onto her gently tapered long fingernails.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a slender orase runestaff inlaid with a ring of invar bands in her right hand.
She is wearing a knitted thistle-hued hat, an enameled onyx night sky pendant, an onyx and blue dreamstone pendant, a creamy vanilla lace shrug with long pendant sleeves, a lich-engraved silver sigil, a brilliant dragonfire ruby chicken charm, a pair of rose-tinted spectacles, an obsidian-bound silk badge, a golden phoenix pin, a slender dark red hip sheath, an ebony spidersilk backpack, a knitted thistle-hued sweater, a stiffened oxblood leather buffcoat caught with jet buttons, a garnet cloisonne wrist coil set in bronze filigree, a garnet cloisonne wrist coil set in bronze filigree, a pair of knit thistle-hued gloves, a plain gold ring, an onyx and ruby wedding band, a pleated soft leather purse, an ebon silk drawstring pouch, a plain thistle-hued silk skirt overlaid with fine green lace, and some knitted thistle-hued stockings under a pair of pale green crisp taffeta ruched-toe slippers.
She changes clothing a lot, but this looks to be her spring things. She's also a white witch and doesn't summon undead or demons, etc.
LOVED the Azanoth one. Right down my alley with all the Phoenix stuff. Undead/Demons.

He has silky, pale moonlight-colored hair divided into several elegantly twisted sections and adorned with some bone and obsidian hairbeads. He has a delicate face, a sharp patrician nose and a broad chest. He has a foreboding, cold aloofness in his eyes belying his delicate features.
He has a series of blue and red writhing shadow tattoos on his forearms.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a ruby amulet, an obscured ethereal periapt, a silver-trimmed black leather cloak, a short wyrwood scabbard slung over his shoulder, a steel-fettered harness over a silk-silenced leather cuirass with a slim linen shirt underneath, some black alloy vambraces, some silver-etched ebon ora gloves, some slim grey leather pants, and some winged quicksilver sandals.

You see Captain of the Falcon Nuadjha.
He appears to be a Half-Sylvan.
He is taller than average. He has sharply angled inquisitive tawny eyes and weathered golden brown skin. He has tousled and sun-streaked, unruly russet hair tied into a loose ponytail with a knotted bronze leather hair-tie. He has slightly pointed ears. Thin scars permanently dyed a deep cerulean crisscross his forearms. His right hand is replaced with a silver and ironwood one.
His face is concealed by a trailing cloudy white scarf shot with eahnor threading.
He has a tattoo of gold-tipped black briars that twist around his left eye and curl in tangled knots down his cheek, and some Sylvan runes on his arm.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a tri-cornered crimson hat, a pair of brass-framed spectacles with crimson lenses, a bronze-swept damask cravat secured with a small eahnor airship, an eahnor-threaded thick white silk captain's coat, a bronze-buckled ivory leather baldric, an asymmetrically cut crimson surcoat folded and clasped at one lapel, a salt-stained leather coin pouch, a leather herb pouch with a simple tie, some cross-buckled chestnut leather pants reinforced with bronze bands, and some knee-high brushed ivory suede boots.

I kind of envision Cryheart standing next to someone as an adviser kind of like the Bear and Selmy in GoT, maybe looking at a map in contemplation or at a desk with a quill.
You see Sir Cryheart Thaxin the Knight of the Empire.
He appears to be a Human from Honneland.
He is taller than average and appears to be advanced in years. He has piercing blue-grey eyes and tanned skin. He has cropped, tousled golden brown hair with a touch of grey at the close shaven temples. He has an angular face, a prominent nose and broad shoulders. A slight scar, barely visible, indents his left cheek.

Not that I have some severe fascination with artistic rendering, but I am rather curious. You were looking for something fun to make. I'd like to see if you could pull this off via the transformation.
>Exam Neelin
You see Lord Neelin the Avenger.

It is difficult to properly see his features as the hood of his longcloak is pulled down over his face.
Neelin pushes the hood of his hooded longcloak onto his shoulders, glancing about his surroundings.

Been working on this today and really liking the weirdness of the demon aspect. Hopefully have something to post later today, maybe tomorrow depending on how lighting (my curse) the scene goes. What kind of clothing does the character wear when he is in regular form?

I tried to install Daz 3D on my x64 Windows 7 for about a full day. No dice. It keeps trying to install into an (x86) error. Updated windows and drivers and have to assume it's a C+/.dll issue.
I don't think I'd ever have gotten very good at it anyways and I'd have to reinstall Windows 7 I think to correct it.

You shouldn't let yourself worry about how good you will be in the future. If you cruise some of the 3D galleries (mine included), you won't see many Van Gogh quality works. But man, it's fun. And you will improve, I guarantee it. You should really try to get that download issue resolved. I wish I was technically proficient enough to help you out with it.

When you do resolve it...just a word of advice: never ever settle for the default lighting. You'll end up with boring, bland and flat works.

Hey, any monks interested in a portrait? I want to play with posing and lighting mostly so I'm looking for someone with a rather simple overall look (no custom altered missing limbs or skeletor hands or six foot long hair, etc.) and who doesn't mind if I choose the clothing, (although I will try to honor a character's color preferences and style if possible. I'm just not interested in custom tailoring something because that is very time consuming).
If you are interested, PM me details and thanks in advance.

You see Bellaja Claybourne.
She appears to be a Human from Torre.
She is shorter than average and appears to be mature. She has long, glittery lashes framing vivid fandango eyes and tanned skin. She has very long, loosely curled luxurious chestnut hair with glossy golden highlighted bangs curling just beneath her chin. She has a gaunt, almost skeletal face and a pouting lips and a glowing red claw-shaped mark scorched into her flesh and bits of skin decaying from her neck. A purple-shadowed nearly black thunderhead opal is positioned between her eyes, which casts a sparkling nightshade-hued sheen across her face.
You can hardly recognize her covered in all that soot and ash!
She has a wispy jade-inked smoke tattoo curling around her right pinky finger.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing an artistically beaded suede bag, a raven black leather corset with gleaming onyx fasteners, a cropped ruffle-trimmed jet leather jacket, a sinuous black ora band, a low-slung gossamer skirt fastened at each side with a thin silken bow, and some sleek black leather boots with a mithril serpent wrapped around each spiked heel.

So I got in a discussion with Dendum in one of his albums about how the PC compresses our uploads:
Me: "There is a definite loss of quality when you upload to the PC. When I saved my most recent portrait of Fealla it was 1.70 MB at 2600 x 1142 pixels and 300 dpi resolution (most of my portraits are similarly sized). The uploaded image was automatically compressed to 100 KB at 1353x594 with a resolution of 96 dpi. I'm not complaining at all, I'm a resource hog, just commenting that I know about the issue and the compression artifacts that you describe."
Dendum: "I decided it wasn't so much making my pictures darker, just lowering the resolution...which in turn makes it harder to see...which in turn makes darker things appear mushy. I think this one looks much better on imgur (obviously one is a photo hosting site and the other is a forum with photo hosting capabilities)"
Me: "Man, I need to start including a link in case someone wants to download a better quality copy of an image. I'm in your album, stealing your ideas!"
So yeah, I'll be including a link to Imgur of the full size portrait of anyone who request a portrait in the future. If I've already done a portrait and you want the full size version, send me a pm and I'll upload it. The uncompressed quality is quite a bit better for the recent series of portraits since I started making them again.

Are you still doing portraits? Because these two are awesome and deserve one:
You see Rowmi the Battle Dancer.
He appears to be a Half-Elf.
He is tall and appears to be very young. He has argent-flecked cornflower blue eyes and sun-kissed, lightly freckled skin. He has haphazardly cut, untamed dirt brown hair. He has an unshaven face and slightly pointed ears. His bright eyes are framed by tiny laugh lines that betray a friendly smile.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing some thick leather gloves with razern-plated knuckles, a roan suede survival kit, a black sunflower seed suspended from a delicate silver chain, a crisp grey wool coat with silver-buttoned cuffs, an unfurling vivid red rose, a grey-striped dark leather epaulet, a faded leather haversack bottomed with grass stains, a red silk tunic, an enameled black bracer painted with stylized red amaranth flowers, a thick ebonwood armband, an intricate gold ring, a looped black leather belt, a leather drawstring bag, some trim onyx flyrsilk pants with thin veniom threading, a thigh-strapped dark grey sheath, and some black leather side-laced boots.
You see Glyhne the Pathfinder.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Lassaran D'ahranal.
She is of a slight height and appears to be young. She has limpid sapphire blue eyes and delicately freckled, light tan skin. She has mid back-length, silky white hair falling from a center part to frame her face in tousled strands of wispy disarray. She has a delicate bone structure that lends a subtle accent to the softened curves of her face, a slender, delicately flared nose and a long, slender neck. Tiny flecks of sea blue have formed within her pupils.
She has a quintet of graduated gold rings set along the slender tips of her pointed ears.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a stylized black thorny vine choker adorned with enameled red flowers, a knee-length hooded olivine waxed linen coat, a velvety soft deep black rose tucked behind one ear, a brushed suede shoulder satchel with a triangular clasp slung over her shoulder, a pale grey-green longline corset fettered with bronze toggles over some soft green studded leather brigandine, an engraved platinum bracer, a wide silver wristcuff of interlocking leaf skeletons, a pair of trim golden brown silk pants with side laces, a twining rose vine anklet, and a pair of brown toeless boots.

Are they wandering NPC's or do they stay in one room?
GM run characters. Here's Kenstrom's brief breakdown on them:
Stephos DeArchon
Stephos DeArchon was appointed to the town council in 5112. Stephos and his half-elven wife moved to Wehnimer’s years ago after they fled the imperial port of Idolone due to strong anti-human sentiments against the wealthy merchant and his half-elven bride. Stephos has since earned many friends among the local merchants, who elected him to represent them on the town council.
Alendrial DeArchon
Wife of Stephos DeArchon, she almost ruined their marriage when she was discovered to be sleeping with Rinhale Hurrst, an imperial inquisitor who was asking too many questions about her husband. In order to try to get close and protect him, Alendrial seduced the inquisitor, but many speculate she was more lonely than cunning. She has seemingly repaired the damages to her marriage and is living with Stephos again, despite the rumors of his corruption swirling around krolvin and Rooks.

You see Cruxophim the Disciple of the Lich.
He appears to be an Aelotoi.
He is possessed of a statuesque height and appears to have come of age. He has dark-lined hollows that frame glowing yellow-hued eyes and misty black skin. He has long, windswept raven-black hair parted to the side and pinned back with a blackened raven-skull ornament bound by dark claws. He has a gaunt, almost skeletal face and a glowing red claw-shaped mark scorched into his flesh and his lips are rotting. His blanched complexion is marred by countless very faint, interlacing scars. Shadows shift and writhe beneath his skin, ebon tendrils that are ever-moving. He has a pair of blood red-veined deep black wings.
He has a series of tiny gradated obsidian coffin nails in the ridges of both his ears, a tiny dark dreamstone ring in his right eyebrow, a series of tiny metal spikes in his left eyebrow, an ebon-studded silver half-ring in the middle of his nose, a mercurial moonstone ring in his lip, a yellow-eyed tenebrous raven tattoo on his neck, an elaborate raven tattoo on his neck, a tattoo of an incomplete black halo depicted with corroded nails driven through it on his head, a tattooed ring of jagged thorns on his head, a spiral of silver-inked feathers on his neck, a chaotic tree spirit tattoo on his neck, a series of stylized tally marks tattoo on his wrist, and a bold tattooed symbol on his wrist.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a twisted black staff in his right hand and a severed knight arm in his left hand.
He is wearing a short-crowned black silk capotain, a smooth black ebonwood kit slung over his shoulder, a chain-bound small eldritch coffin, a sleeveless atramental ebon greatcoat, a tiny rook skull pin, a tiny raven skull pin, a soft onyx flyrsilk shirt, a circular veil iron plate, an incarnadine black-veined organ, an interlocking deep black harness over some segmented sleek dark body armor, some opal-edged black alloy armguards, a pair of steel-taloned gauntlets soaked with blood, a blood-red crystal-inset platinum ring, an invar ring set with curved bloodstone thorns, a blackened raven skull ring, a low-slung glossy black leather belt, a blackened crow skull buckle, a wire-bound raven skull fetish, some soft black leather pants, a thigh-strapped black metal case, and some knee-high strapped black boots.

I still get a kick out of "He appears to be an Aelotoi", hah.
Someone just pointed this out to me -- I haven't been on the PC much lately because of storyline shenanigans in-game taking up most of my free time, but.... if you're up for doing another portrait, Tisket, I'd be down. I have some thoughts, mwhaha.
