Way to bury the lead on the blink part.

is this the best weapon in the game?

is it not good for warriors because they cant infuse with? (no spells until way into post cap)

is it a paladin weapon because he can bond it and a bard/ranger/wizard/sorc etc might get disarmed?

Likely the best claidh in the game. Not sure if any others claidhs got blinked and if they are as high on the enchants.

I'd think this would work best with a wizard, ranger, empath, or capped bard. Gotta have the spells to go with it.

Not the best claidh in the game, by a long shot. A few certain individuals have a couple 7x claidhmores, as well as one of them in particular having extra weighting over normal claidh weighting. But this is a damn damn nice claidhmore. If my lance wasn't 10x, I'd be going after this.

This claid costs roughly my entire GS net worth... if it were a more practical option I'd certainly consider it. Lots of infusing options to try out. Anyone know the flare frequency? I understand it's no longer dependent on the level of the spell, but I have no idea if it's a standard flaring frequency or what.

So is the power of the flare based on your casting ability?

I would gladly HAVE [edit] the blink script over[edit] an extra enchant or a little more weighting. Best XXXX in the game is always going to be subject to opinion, but mine is that this is the best claid in the game.

Flare rates were normalized across all spells around the time of RtCF. All infused spells flare with the same frequency, and it feels slightly higher than normal flares. I haven't found any info from anyone doing extensive testing on the new flare rate, or if the flare rate is effected by any skills.

[edited because I not words good with]

You don't know how blink weapons work. You dont have to currently be able to cast the spell to use it for flares, just able to learn the spell.

This weapon would be amazing for a berserking warrior with the rounds of ewaves they would get.

And extra weighting on top of claid weighting, on a weapon this big is pointless.

Another enchant would be nice, but no where near as nice as blink flares... And it's already one of the highest enchant claids in Prime.

In my experience I think that blink was revamped and given a small sliding scale for frequency... Less variance on either end as far as spell level vs frequency of flares, so now they flare less for level 1 spells, but more for your higher level spells.

I thought they changed that recently? Either way I think its an amazing weapon. I would like to see a high XP mage turn warmage and use 908 in it for troll camps. If you could figure out how to disable on a regular basis without hitting the shroud the 908 area effects should keep them burning/stunned without any issues. It would also be good for Empaths who are swingers if they can get perma haste in troll camps. 111, 1s swings, 117, high bolt/melee AS. Being in GOS you would get the added weighting to the swing. I wonder if it adds to the bolt as well.

They hadnt the last time I used one, post enchanting update. But I guess another update maybe went through, and I'm which case, I don't know how they work anymore.

I agree with you, I just worded my post very poorly. I'd like to blame it on no coffee, but I think I just had a moment of idiocy. My last statement still hold, I think this is the best claid in the game

Found this post on the blink change as well, looking for the original change post:

The fix was that lower level flares were flaring much more often than the original design intended. Now flares should be equal across the board. And yes, this flare correction coincided with the enchant/ensorcell updates, which meshes with previously mentioned notable changes in flares.

Since this isn't a festival related discussion, let's pick it up elsewhere on the boards.

Sort of like having a 15x acuity flares, or T15 ensorcell. heh.

Edit before someone else says it: Yes I realize it's not actually the same function as either of those.
