View Full Version : Presidental Candidate Issue Comparison
As Tamral mentioned in another thread, the debates are next Thursday night (:crie: I have typography class).
Anyway, while searching for information on the first debate, I found a page on MSNBC with a clean, comprehensive side-by-side comparison of Kerry and Bush on the issues.
Is MSN biased? I can’t really say. They are corporate, no doubt. Here it is anyway.

I just took their little test. And I'm sorry to say but it seems pretty damned bias to me. It puts Bush in a horrible light. Even though the facts are true, there are plenty of ways to state the facts without making them sounds so terrible. The only "bad" thing said about Kerry was the 87 billion he voted against. And directly after that comments were positive. Maybe it's just because Bush has been in the office, taking the hits as they come in.
I hate Bush as much as the next guy - but it seemed a bit much.

"Bush proposes that Congress limit discretionary spending in programs outside defense and homeland security to a 0.5 percent increase next year."
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111
From the guy who just keeps on spending (20%+ each year increases in discretionary spending). That's almost as funny as Kery saying he will cut the deficit in half the first year he is in office. What a couple of morons.
I am not fan of Bush but that poll is clearly bias in Kerry's favour
I agree about the language, but it seems to be accurate on where they both stand on the issues.
I have posted these before but I will post them again. These sites are very objective. If you are still undecided about who to vote for hopefully they will help.

On a separate note the Bush camp has been religious in emailing me. I haven't heard a peep from the Kerry camp. I would have to vote by proxy as I live in Canada currently.

Breaking news that disputes information on the original link.
Bush Set To Open Oil Reserve Spigot (http://money.netscape.cnn.com/news_story.jsp?id=2004092316010002142680&dt=200409 23160100&w=RTR&coview=&TickerSymbols=XOM)
Of course, people claim its politics.

Not biased?
It might as well say-
"Bush likes to eat little children for breakfast."
"John Kerry likes to hand feed little children filet mignon for breakfast at one of his many self-funded clinics."
What a waste.
Horrible test with even worse wording.

I'm really surprised MSNBC put up something that was that biased. As much as I loathe Dubya, the slant on the wording is worthy of Michael Moore.

Evidently "The Mind" won't be voting in this coming election. Guess he won't be able to bitch when things go wrong.

My wife got her old Proff's seat at that speech on Wed. She left rather irritated with the guy.
He's a man that professes his hate for bi-partisanism. He got elected into office on a third party ticket and what does he do? He bitches to an auditorium full of voting age students and faculty and refuses to vote.
How about expound on the beauty of democracy and advocate independent choices? How about point out the other parties and candidates?
Ventura is a fuck nut.
