Just come back from watching the film Noah. WTF! They ruined a good bible story for me by turning him into half zealot, half pyscho.
Jennifer Connelly was very good. I half expected Emma Watson to take out a wand 1/2 way through though. The watchers were an interesting twist. (Not included any spoilers so no worries if you haven't seen it)
A generous 6.5 / 10

Well, as I believe the story goes, he was basically the only one on the entire planet worthy of continuing his existence (and he was told that everyone/thing else not allowed on that boat was going to die, making him the motherfuckin man!), so...
Now I want to see it. I would enjoy an adult edgy version of the childhood 2 x 2 story. Ya know, if you actually read the bible, it ain't for kids.

I'd watch Emma Watson bang Russell Crowe.

What did you expect from a movie starring Gladiator as Noah?

I'd watch Emma Watson bang Russell Crowe.
Except she plays the wife of one of his sons, Shem.

I'm not exactly sure why people were expecting a pious cutesy Bible movie from Darren Aronofsky, his last movie was Black Swan.

I'm not sure who believes that the story of Noah and the floods is a "cutesy Bible" story.
I mean come the fuck on.. your God just killed off millions of people and animals because he didn't like how people were acting in 2 cities. Talk about over compensation.
Why would anyone worship this dude?

Except she plays the wife of one of his sons, Shem.I was making the reference to Noah sleeping with his daughter-in-law, but I looked it up and it turned out it was his son. Close enough!
the man is not aging well, he looks like her grandfatherFor a 500 year old man, he looks pretty good!

Why would anyone worship this dude?Sodom and Gomorrah are from the time of Abraham, well post-Noah. The Flood is prompted by a whole world of sin.

Noah's Ark is just to remind people that God only instructed male & female pairings, for all species.
