Judging from the ELATED videographer, I would guess this behavior was learned at home. Does anyone know if Frank Ramsey has grandkids?

I don't follow basketball. I don't usually even open threads that are clearly about basketball, but I like videos about youth sports in general so I did this time. Not being a fan means I didn't get the reference so I youtubed it. This guy should go into acting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZpGKC62qvs
Funny stuff.

I don't even blame Lebron (mostly because I want to like him). I blame the Heat organization for encouraging this behavior.

The video obviously goes back many years, but over the past two seasons the NBA has issued public (http://www.eskimo.com/~pbender/fines.html) flopping warnings/fines, but clearly not all warnings were made public so here is a tally of just the fines:
16 players fined a total of $5k: Tony Allen, Omer Asik, JJ Barea, Chris Bosh, Corey Brewer, Mario Chalmers, Reggie Evans, Derek Fisher, James Harden, LeBron James, Kevin Martin, Jeff Pendergraph, JR Smith, PJ Tucker, Gerald Wallace, David West
1 player fined a total of $10k: Lance Stephenson
1 team fined $20k: Indiana
1 team fined $15k: Miami
4 teams fined $10k: Brooklyn, Houston, Minnesota, OKC
3 teams fined $5k: Memphis, New York, Phoenix
Make of it what you will.

The point that Latrin is implying with that data is very astute - I have to give credit where credit is due, and Latrin is right on the money here - the NBA is favoring the Miami Heat superstars.
Does anyone notice the only two superstars on that list to have been fined? Do you know how offensive a flop has to be to call out a superstar on the NBA's marque team. Imagine how many fines Lebron would have if he played for Cleveland or Milwaukee. It's disgraceful to view the NBA in this light - but I thank Latrin for pointing out this inconsistency in the fines the NBA levies against role-players and sixth men on mid-western teams and superstars on marque teams.
