I'm sure no one will give a hill of beans about this, but I'm suffering through it at the moment so I'm gonna complain about it...

I'm not new, but I'm still just 9 and didn't know for sure if I could make it through the titans and frost giants to get to Icemule by myself. So I hire the travel guide. They're all slow as shit. Why can't the game see that I'm older than 2 damn trains and offer a more "expedited" version for a bit more coin. I don't want to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Chronomage either though. Give me a break.

sing it, sister! (brother?)

the chronomage isn't really 100k, it's 20 gold rings, or 95 simucoins, assuming you don't have access to premie travel

If you have access to fwi the premie transport is pretty cheap for low low level characters,
then again if you have access to fwi you probably would have just chosen icemule as your starting city.

I agree the agents were slow, I used them a lot when I first started to visit all the place and I would often go afk for an hour while it went from ta'vaalor to icemule.

At level 9, I think the premium transportation is like 20k.

it's less than that, it's like 10k

Also, I've made the trip to Icemule on characters under level 5 NUMEROUS times, it's not so bad!

Also, if you're under level 10, there's no penalty for departing if you die.

Agreed... pretty much any town-to-town trip is relatively safe at any level.

Now, if you're really concerned about safety, you can wait until a lower population time to do it when it's less likely people will be in the area long enough to start spawning creatures. If you're the only person there, you'll be long gone by the time the creatures catch up.

Guides were developed for new players to help give them a feel of the Land and its history while providing safe transportation. It was not designed nor meant for super fast transport. If that is what you want, you should not be using Guides.
