New after 12yrs Away..... where to start

So its been awhile... and I see a LOT of Changes..

My Old Account is dead... so Time to start a new one

Wanting to start with a Rogue... Ambusher/Picker... or something similar that applies to the new GS4

Havent really seen much to guide me with a good Starting Stat placement, and the best path for future training to get to what i want


Still am reading a LOT... Lich is new... and havent even downloaded any front ends... Any Tips here would be great as well

Have a lot of free time now and used ta have SOOOOOOO much fun with GS3 so hope GS4 is just as much fun

Whatever you do go to lichproject.org (http://lichproject.org/) and download that. It's make the game about 1000x better. That's my only recommendation. For now just use the stats and training they give you, play as much as you can in your 30 days so that you have an idea of the direction you want to go in GSIV before your fixstats runs out.

Yes in those 30 days there are 5 fixes and 1 fixskill after that. Should be a fixskill in may too. I don't think you'll get a fair look at stats during your 30 days though. The thing to consider is what level you want to target for stat optimization. You can set them for cap and that will save you the bother and expense of doing a fixstat later but it will hinder you in lower levels.

When I came back to GS I agonized over this stuff and asked a lot of questions on the officials. What I learned though is that it didn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is playing the game and leveling up because you're training path can't really bear fruit until you have enough Training Points to develop some skills fully. Obviously the basic stuff is easy. S/H, Combat skills, 2x picking unless you want to really be great then 3x picking. All in all, it doesn't matter what you do, just figure out the stats BEFORE the 30 days are up. Stats are important because they're hard to change. You can get a potion now to fix stats but it's still I think 150$ bucks-ish.

looks like that hasn't been touched since 2011. the GSguide one was edited just last year.

My advice would be to echo what has been said here in many threads: Maximize your stats for leveling up for the first 30 days. Then, prior to your free fixskills/stats run out, place everything where they'll be most beneficial to your character. Play around with builds until you find something that floats your boat, and then stick with it.

Did you have any rare or unique items before you quit? 12 year old awesome items might fetch some silvers/money these days.

The landing and TI are the most populated. The landing being the winner. I include the landing and ice mule as one place too.

Both have storylines going at the moment as well. The landing storylines generate rpa's pretty easily.
