3x Perception

I am making some longterm training plans for a capped rogue. One of the questions that has come up is what benefit there is with 3x perception. The ability to see the others hide/steal/etc doesn't really interest me. Can anyone with 3x perception experience provide any motivation for spending the training points from the 2x level? I can't seem to justify it.

According to Krakiipedia perception and CM both factor equally into critter maneuver defense. Assuming no diminishing returns and these are a problem for you then that seems like a good reason to triple in perception.

Other than that though I don't think 3x perception does a darn thing for you over 2x perception, other than what you have already mentioned that is.
