I'm currently reading "Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs" and it's a great book. It's about pop culture and the author is a pretty clever and witty guy.

What are you reading?

I recently read "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hassan or something like that.
About two boys who grew up in Afghanistan.
It was a really good read. I would recommend it

I haven't read a book since Deaver's "Blue Nowhere".

Excellent book, but I stick mainly to PS2 Magazines.

 Dark Elf Trilogy!!!! Yeah, I started a thread on that book because it rocked so much. I'm truly addicted to R.A. Salvatore's series books now. And I'm still waiting on Icewind Dale to show up from my BF (who hooked me on the books to begin with)

A Case Of Need - Michael Crichton

It's a good book, but it's just a filler until George R. R. Martin relases his 4th "Song of Ice and Fire" book A Feast for Crows . That whole series is awesome.

Last book I read was The Imaginary Girlfriend by John Irving.
I pretty much like anything by Irving.

Right now, I'm reading Raymond E. Feist's new book in the Conclave of Shadows series "King of Foxes".

Feist is one of my favorite authors. However, get truly be inside the world of Midkemia, I'd highly suggest going back to the beginning. There's prolly close to a dozen books about with Feist writing about Midkemia, starting with "Magician: Apprentice" and going in chronological order makes it truly a damn good series.

I just finished the Da Vinci Code. Provokes some good thoughts, though I think the people who really beleive the end IS TRUE need help.

For light fun reading I'm catching up on some Alias novels.

a woman's reasons for why i am still single, July 8, 2004
Reviewer: A reader

just reading the table contents confirms my lowest expetations of men ------ and confirms the reason i have chosen to stay celibate and single. More of us women should read more of these books to educate ourselves about what men(?) really think of us and what cads and scum they really are.

What a fucking Bobmuhthol.

Just recently finished the fourth book in Elizabeth Haydon's Rhapsody series. great books if you haven't read them. Also would highly recommend John Ringo's Legacy of the Aldenata series. One of the very best military sci-fi series I have ever read. And of course David Weber's Honor Harrington series. Anything written by these two I highly recommend.

Microserfs by Douglas Coupland

It's a GREAT look at what life was like in the beginning of my career. ANYONE in the IT world should read it, funny, compelling and it really paints a picture of how things were in the "boom".

I'd also recommend reading these two books, both very nicely written and both show some interesting sides of AOL - both positive and negative.

AOL.com by Kara Swisher
Fools Rush In : Steve Case, Jerry Levin, and the Unmaking of AOL Time Warner by Nina Munk

So did I. Great book.

Book before that was The Firm which I read 12 years ago. I don't read books too often if you couldn't tell.

Mistomeer, not only are you stalking me in GS you are reading the same books as me too! You scare me!

Great books I have read recently include John Diamonds autobiography C Because cowards get cancer too. Its all about how he dealth with finding out he had cancer, the hope of recovery and then the struggle to deal with knowing he was dying. It really touched me, very open and frank.

I also read Parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer, kind of creepy, its about nature's most dangerous creatures. Made me feel a bit sick but I've always been fascinated by parasites! Good read if you are into that kind of stuff! :)

a good recommendation from my personal reading past is the whole intire T.A. Barron series, The Lost Years of Merlin, its about Merlin from his birth through his early childhood, very interesting things that where never really covered in anyone else's writings. I saw the Dark Elf Trilogy books on a friend of mines Coffee Table the other day, seeing as i have a very very wicked hate for Drow and all Dark Elfs, is it worth reading anyway? Just a RP choice in GS and D&D i spose.

I'm not reading your Parasite Book, and you stalk me. I'm currently reading Palm Sunday by Kurt Vonnegut. I just started, so no one ruin it for me.

Did you see The Door in the Floor?

If you enjoy that genre, I recommend Mary Stewart's Merlin trilogy:

The Crystal Cave
The Hollow Hills
The Last Enchantment

Excellent reading. In fact, now I'm in the mood to reread them again. So I will.

Last book I read was Body Double by Tess Gerritsen, it was excellent.

When I get to work tonigt I'll finish up the last book I have by Janet Evanovich. Someone recommended them to me and I LOVE this author. It's not often a book can have me almost in tears with laughter.
