Is there an actual difference in critical chance, or ability to go through certain armors etc. when using just a sharpened tip from fletching versus using for example an iron-bodkin arrowhead?

I use the arrowheads because they are 1 silver anyhow, but just wondering if they add any kind of damage bonus. At least from my own personal standpoint I would think an arrowhead should add some kind of bonus piercing certain armor versus a sharpened point but that might not be the case.

Generally speaking they are irrelevant. Your arrows will work just as well if they are only sharpened and saves a step on fletching.

No bonus unless using merchant arrowheads, like the Drakar, Feras, Rhimar, or Gonar ones, which add flares.

I believe there were also some merchant sold ones that may have added some sort of damage weighting, or change the damage type to blunt.

However, the 0x metals at the fletcher's shop are purely cosmetic, and enchanted metals will not be additive to enchanted wood, only the greater of the two will be used.

as I assumed, cosmetic they shall stay.
