I'm not one to brag, and I know this was more a matter of luck than skill, but this is from the Willow Hall archery contest and I just had to share.

You remove a single wooden arrow from a bundle of wooden arrows.
>fire blue targ
You notch your arrow, draw slowly taking careful aim, and let the shot fly at the blue target!
The arrow whistles towards the blue target with the accuracy of legends! A few bystanders can do nothing but gawk as the shot splits the arrow already imbedded into the center of the bullseye, leaving nothing but splinters!

Roundtime: 3 secs...
R>l at blue targ
The blue target has hundreds of holes in it from years of use.
Sticking out of the surface you see...
A wooden arrow scored at 200 points.
A wooden arrow scored at 25 points.
...for a total score of 225!

Oh, I know it's been done before, but I just felt it was incredibly lucky for me to have managed to do it during the contest.

I did it during the last willowhall contest, which we won

Congratulations, Nieninque! I'm sure your win was just as exciting for you as mine was for me.

It is pure luck.
Wasnt especially exciting.

The one at the Sylvan festival in Illistim was the worst. It was supposed to be part luck and part skill. As one of the best trained archers taking part at the time I was quietly confident of at least doing well.

I missed the target 5 times.
I was very sad

How is that being a bitch? I stated how it was (or wasnt) for me.

There's some advice you can take

I'm guessing that in this case, being a bitch meant knowing that "stating how it was" would be raining on someone's parade and still choosing to say it. Just a guess of course.

Edit: missed a word.

:yeahthat:

It did come off bitchy.

Congrats on the shot Amberlei, EVEN IF IT WAS PURE LUCK AND SNOWDRIP DID IT BEFORE YOU!

Good work at being bitchy at someone that was excited about something.

Nice shot and congrats. It's moments like these that make your time in GS stand out.

I agree, great shot and congrats.

As for the party pooper: If someone came on here and said "I just had a baby!" - would you be the one that said "Been there, done that, what's the big deal?"

If people are happy about something that excites them, try not to be a downer. These days in GS4 - sometimes it's hard to find something to be excited about.

Did that, now I'm all depressed that stance now affects Sunder.
