I was working on this "buisness deal" with this guy right. I wasnt going to because where he comes from, and wherei come from to mix, I would be looked down upon by my cuzzins for the rest of my life if they knew i decided to do buisness with this kat. So we goto cali to handle the buisness deal that we were working on. I trusted this dude, i let him take me to places that if i went my self i woulda been wishing for death if i went on my own. (Details excluded because of the sircumstances of this buisness deal). Then we get back to vegas, he flies to hawaii to complete the deal, and boom, this kat turnes 2 faced on me, i havnt heard from, him since, i've made dozens of attempts to get in contact with him. Pretty much he made me look like a chump after giving more trust than i really ever give anyone, and i gave this to a kat i shouldnt of been workin with anyways in my "family's" eyes. So now i got an option, charge this loss to the game and just keep movin forward, or deal with this dude. Lettin this kat know i'm not a chump would make me feel pretty good and give me a good laugh, but it'd indirectly majorly affect his 5 kids, which makes me feel kinda bad cause they're pretty down ass kids. So let me get sum poll results on what u all think i should do.

Hah, I do tech support for DISHNetwork.

I'm not trying to bust your balls, John, but I thought the whole reason you left Las Vegas for that time period was to get away from 'business deals' like this. I'm just assuming that since you won't disclose the details, it's something illegal.

If you play in the mud, you're going to get dirty, Jon. Let's face it. This "business deal" was, in all probability, not on the up-and-up in the first place. Honor amongst scum? I doubt it. Why did you expect it? Give that some thought, hon.

HarmNone, wondering why this guy's kids are so down-ass, if he's engaging in big "business deals"........

Well, i left vegas cause i was killing my self with all the drugs i was doing. Im still not doing the drugs, but you do have a point. I need to just not deal with any of that shit period, even if i'm not doing them it's have me fucked up in the end. So that means i should prolly just let this ride and keep moving forward in a streight line of work.

This is the most insane thread I've ever seen -- the fact that a staff member is using lines like:

<<I would be looked down upon by my cuzzins for the rest of my life if they knew i decided to do buisness with this kat. So we goto cali to handle the buisness deal that we were working on. I trusted this dude, i let him take me to places that if i went my self i woulda been wishing for death if i went on my own. (Details excluded because of the sircumstances of this buisness deal). >>

Wow --- Not even going to mention the mad spelling errors, but the fact that you use words like "cuzzins" -- scares me.

Word,

Psykos.

Hah - His kids were just cool, i watched them a couple times for him when he had to go handle stuff on his own, back in vegas before we ever went to cali, they were just cool lil kids.

Just move on down the road, Jon. Move far down the road away from all that garbage. There's more to life than that. You're entitled to some of it, but you'll have to work for it. Don't back up, dammit!

Nah, Jon. Despite the money that could be made (and most of us are well aware of it), I'm not interested in becoming involved in that sort of "business". There are much better, more enjoyable ways to live, hon. Believe me. There are. :)

HarmNone, happy with her life the way it is

09-19-2004, 01:26 PM
Well, if your gonna stay in the life then you gotta handle your business. Simple as that. If you just wanna wash your hands and leave it alone, than do just that. It's your choice and your decision, no one can tell you how to risk your life and get through it.

Um,

I'd argue that a Lexus on 20" rims (even though its really irrelevant to state the rim size of the car) is not that safe, actually. The larger rims on a 1998 Lexus would entaill that they had to do some work on the wheel well, which in turn makes the care a lot more dangerous to drive, and the tires a lot more ready to give out.

Keep pimpin?

You didn't use EXCHANGE????? What were you thinking???

Oh, wait, no money was passed?

Then I'll just reiterate what everyone else said. I'll also say that I used to be in a similar situation (but not quite the same, obviously, because I had somewhere to escape to), and I hated when people "preached" to me, when they were just giving me good advice, but after awhile, you'll see that one day you'll get more than just disrespected some day, so get out of "the game" now, while you still can.

After all, as I like to say, 2pac's thug life made him rich - but you think he's around to enjoy it?

Be like the original player, Ice-T.....grow up, get your life in order, and join the cast of Law & Order as a streetwise former narc cop, and hang around with hot babes like Marissa Hargitay all day long.

LOL - It was safer in a sense that what we were going to cali for was safer to drive back than to fly back.

I found a picture of the exact model and year lexus we drove, except this one isnt on 20's

Part of me gettin this kat back for what happend is me obtaining this car.

How long will that car last, Jon? The rest of your life? Is it really worth it? Instant gratification rarely is. True accomplishment is a mixture of effort and patience.

Vegas is an addiction in itself, a hard one to break from. I've been thinking of going back to detroit tho.

Listen to her, J-T......HarmNone is not only motherly, but wise in her ways.

I've often thought of becoming a Pagan just because she's such a well-spoken one. You ever read "Killing the Buddha", HN? All I have time to do around this place is read books (and break into my NGO's office on a Sunday to use the free internet - though I guess its not breaking in if I have a key and know the alarm code).

Again, listen to her. Or read some Augustine....Confessions. It's good stuff. He can tell you a bit about leading a wild life and how it didn't fulfill him in the least.

"Restless, until I rest in You, God.".....very Buddhist sort of stuff..

-TheE-, who is delaying going home...argh. 8 o clock and I'm still here. Psh.

It was more the "put yourself in dangerous situations" part I was curious about. You left so that you wouldn't kill yourself. You are now putting yourself in situations where someone else may.

I haven't read that one, The-E. However, based on your recommendation, I'll pick it up. I'm always up for a good read! :)

Actually, Jon is much more mature than that. He usually listens well to advice given him, and really tries to carry through with it. He's not the type to ask for advice, then bellow and scream because it isn't what he wanted to hear. I admire him greatly for that trait. It also gives me hope that he can, and will, succeed in his efforts. It won't be easy, but Jon has the will to try. :)

HarmNone, with a big hug for Jon

You definitely need to keep riding forward and leave the past behind. It's not worth it to deny yourself a second chance.
