I need some help on stats for a halfling cleric, please. He will be in Voln and use a runestaff to CS hunt. I've been fiddling with the stat cruncher (optimized for 100) and spreadsheet trainer, but still not sure if these stats are the wise choice to go with. It seems I'm always lacking in some areas that might be important, but I can't seem to get points from elsewhere... so any help would be greatly appreciated! This is what I came up with so far:

83 Strength (STR) 83 Aura (AUR)
61 Constitution (CON) 50 Logic (LOG)
51 Dexterity (DEX) 87 Intuition (INT)
71 Agility (AGI) 80 Wisdom (WIS)
65 Discipline (DIS) 29 Influence (INF)

I'm not planning to bolt/train in spell aiming, so I was thinking 51 DEX was enough? Also, since I'm a halfling, is 83 STR and 61 CON sufficient, or will I panting from wearing anything more than a loincloth? And DIS and LOG, are they enough for adequate exp absorption?

Never played a halfling (but love the idea of them), and it seems their stats are slightly harder to balance than some of the other races I've played, or it's just me :P But thanks for any help!

If your placing your stats for growth, values are gonna suck for important stats early on. Growth Indicators align with important stats for the race/profession.

If your asking about placing for growth/non-growth, that's subjective and a choice by the player.

Thanks Whirlin for the reply! I notice you're always one to help on all topics in this forum. Unfortunately, I'm not that familiar with growth vs. non-growth concepts. I'm looking to make this character my main from now on, so I plan to take him to cap. Does that mean I should place his stats for growth?

Fixstats are relatively cheap. Worry about now and fixstat for later.

You said you weren't planning on bolting, but being a halfling you should probably train in SA. There are some undead (arch wights come to mind) that are ridiculously susceptible to holy bolt

I didn't realize that... would I be "gimped" if I'm not able to use holy bolt?

Not at all, you could go from level 2 to cap without ever casting a single bolt spell. If you felt the desire to help fight in invasions knowing spell aim would be a good thing, or if you wanted to burn things in warcamps I suppose. There are a few creatures like arch wights were bolting is an amazing hunting tool but overall CS hunting is going to be more effective for you.

Having just finished hunting in the Skull Temple in Illistim, I wish I'd have waited until I hit 70 to stop bolting. The only way a cleric is going to touch a hunch-backed dogmatist in the temple is to bolt or to use 110 with 240 running, and that's time and mana consuming. You could, however, fixskill into bolting once you start hunting the temple (I know it's a ways away) and fixskill back to pure CS once you're comfortably hunting in Maghaara Tower.

That may be a bad assumption on my part....you moving to Illistim.
