Well if you want to really be the best skinner possible, you'll need to double first aid and survival and get 3 ranger ranks....

Maybe you can post a little more of what you were thinking of doing and then we can give you some advice

Telf you didn't come to me for a ranger plan? *sniffles* i'm sad now, and why go with OHE? if you were wanting to uber kill stuff go with something fun, but i spose you could shoot for dux as well as being a pretty good skinner, i know Stunseed is very good with the dux part and pretty decent in skinning, see if he can help you out posting a bit, he knows more of the OHE/shield stuff than do I.

I just want to be a good skinner thats the most important thing. If anyone would like to post some different weapon types that work well with skinning that would be good as well. Also I am a human and I plan to play this character until he is 40-50. I guess I want 2x survival and 2x first aid but I need to know what else works around that so I can be viable at later trains. Including stats please, again thanks for any help.

Brawling rangers are the way to go

Til Fu is nerfed and you're left with a hollow shell of decent ability.

I doubt it gets nerfed until the unarmed combat system comes out.

I agree, it's just not always going to be the right path. And when Fu IS nerfed, that is what he would have. A shell of a decent skill.

You assume that the unarmed combat system will be worthless. A sentiment I can easily agree with considering Simu's track record, but then again that's what Fix skills are for ;)

Very true. I could see the Brawling route work, does a fist-scythe work as a skinner very well? My Brawler doesn't skin at all.

I skin well as an archer.
Right hand free so I can use my skinning knife easily and also pick up skins.
I single FA and survival

I just rolled up a ranger. At 3 trains she was swinging AS 85 (with wizard spells only, no signs or symbols) with 2 weapons, mstriking, 7sec RT. I can find someone else to skin.. oh wait, she did that too.
And to think.. my first ranger
