Windows 8 Install

My laptop finally broke, got a new Windows 8 one coming, anything special I need to know to setup lich with wizard under microsoft's latest travesty?

Yes, set ruby.exe to run as administrator and with win7 compatibility.

how does one do that, stupid laptop came (god I hate windows 8, I put this off as long as possible), don't see run as admin as an option if I right-click.

Right click and go to properties, then use the compatibility tab. It should be there.

What I don't understand is why they took the guy who coded Windows ME and decided to give him another chance? You know how Google's slogan is "Don't be evil." Microsoft's needs to be "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."

8 is good as long as you're on a touch device. I would strongly suggest putting classic shell on though.

Second that. When I got my new ultrabook the first step was install all the updates, second step was to install classic shell.
