Did some studying of the trainer excel sheet to decide that 1xing shield will be beneficial for redux more than extra ranks of PF, but is there any better options out there?

My warrior is 2x 2h and 2x brawl for voln. It's worked thus far.

RP reasons prevent me from joining Voln unfortunately, or I would heh.

hahahahahahahah keep on thinking someone's (most likely Tsoran's) excel sheets have an accurate redux calculator.

Doubling PF and singling shield is more TP-efficient than tripling PF, redux-wise. Bank on it. If you're concerned with redux, stop tripling armor and start tripling PF. If you're obsessed with redux, I have a (possibly viable) plan that will get you redux by level 12.

I would balance those stats out a lot more, but that's more an opinion thing.

p.s: look for redux by 16-17 range with that plan.

I was merely looking for a guiding plan, Not so much of an accuracy.

I'm interested in seeing the plan. I'm merely tripling armor because I want plate asap. After 140 I may only double and switch to tripling PF? I havnt played with it in the sheets really so not too sure. As for the stats... the low Intuition is the only thing I see as a bit troublesome, though I do not claim to know everything about GS4 at all.

Thanks again!

I'd like to see this plan.

Intuition factors into Dodge DS pretty directly, from what I remember. I'm not big on Dodge, though. It's mostly stuff like EXP absorption, TD, and Warcries I worry about.

Check your u2u's. :paranoid smiley:

Double for what?

<<Intuition factors into Dodge DS pretty directly, from what I remember.>>

Let's take a look at DSFORMUL.TXT.

Dodge:
<bunch of code>
DBASE = DRANKS + INT(DAGLBON / 2) + INT(DINTBON / 4) + DSPLMOD

Intuition bonus / 4 goes into the base. This number is truncated. I'd have to say that ranks far outweigh bonus / 4, so that's what you should be concerned about.

Also, your base is always going be less <= your actual dodge DS. Shield size can pretty much cut it in half.

Redux mainly. It still matters a bit for it doesn't it?

And thanks for the dodge formula.

Good stuff, Bob. It was agility bonus I was thinking of, and it's actually directly added, not divided by 2. Delmax figured that out in March sometime.

Ok folks..came back from a 3 year hiatus and now I need some help getting my warrioress up to snuff! She's level 19 two-hander and I was hoping to get into some nice armor, and get major redux asap...if someone can help and look at my stats (tell me what to change) and her training, that would be great. I haven't touched her since the move to gs4

Physical Training is the primary factor for getting redux now. I'd train at least 2x in it.

Climbing and swimming no longer factor into redux at all.

If you're scrounging for points I'd just ditch shield training.

Do I even need ambush for anything? Or is it totally useless for me? I don't hide to ambush...can't hit much with it as is

2Handed warrs are really very simple to train.

2x 2Handed
2x CM
2x Armor
2x Dodge
Some PT

This is ALL you need to be an effective hunter.
Past 40+ trains, dodge may even be reduced as most warrs with have pretty good redux. . .

You are pretty free to squander/get creative/whatever with the rest of your training points.

Ambushing will give you a DS pushdown on the target, however if you have warcries, tackle, massive blow or whatever then you won't need it. If you do train in it, I'd push the ranks up to something a bit more regular.

Is it just me, or is anyone else concerned about the mental stats? I mean you're going to be brutal into your 30's, etc - but your learning/absorbing will suffer because it grows so slowly.

Depending on how much someone plays or what their goals are, I don't think it matters as much as it used to because of XXX.

What does Vin Diesel or a porn flick have to do with a GS4 warrior training plan?

...

Xtreme Xperience Xplosion. As long as you hunt 6 hours a week, you'll move along fine.

Change some pt to max pt as pt is your main redux skill.

And Wezas knows what XXX is he's just being Wezas.

Actually, there is an easier template to train a 2Handed warrior.

2x 2Handed - Obvious
2x CM - AS and CML
2x Armor - Up to 140 ranks
1x Dodge - Not all that important since you will have redux
2x PT - Redux and blood

That's all you need for a 2Handed warrior, and with this simple plan you can add on a lot more skills.

I trained in hiding, range weapon, brawl (voln fu) and lots of other things with this training.
