CCF Tier 4 Item: Defender, Resistance, Epic Deepening

I have no need for this tier so I am going to auction off the spot to someone who would like to use one of these services. The following are available:

+10 Defender Bonus OR Epic Deepening : 16m Hermiethedentist
+30 Resistance Bonus: 30m Calael

This will work fairly simply. You post a bid with which service you would like. Highest bid for each service type at the end of the auction wins the chance for that service. The highest bid of all three types will have first priority, the second, then third, depending on the service won. Items must be provided to me prior to the start of the event the last Friday in March. Winner will be responsible for the bid plus the surcharge of the item they wish modified, to be provided by the GM performing the service.

The auction will close the weekend before the event, Sunday March 23rd at midnight EST. Good luck, and happy bidding.

Edit: I will be accepting cash bids if you really want to, but as I need silvers more than cash, it is going to be at a rate of $15 per. It may sound steep, but like I said, I am not really interested in cash offers.

No, he is selling 1 service. He won't know WHICH service he gets till the day he gets it. So he is taking offers or bids on all three. If your bid is the highest for the service he gets, then you win the auction and get the service. if your bid for say resists is highest for resists, but he gets deepening, you don't pay anything, and the highest bid on deepening wins.

The difficulty he's going to have is if he gets a bid of 5m on a service that draws first, and a bid of 25m on a service that draws later. Will he step out of the room and pass on the 5m service and take his chances on the 25m service? We don't know the order at this point, so it may be a moot issue.

This is where the Merchant Feedback thread comes in to play. I'm sure if he doesn't follow thru, he'll lose business from good merchants and buyers here on the PC.

For those of you who are hedging your bets (have multiple bids for the same service with different people), as one person has recently brought to my attention. I will remove your bids. Do not bid on something if you do not plan on paying. Bad business. I am honoring my service to you for the price, the least you could do would be to honor the payment.

However, I am going to get a resistance spot during CCF, and I'm not going to let your personal 30% chance of winning it prevent that.

Aren't you hedging your bet as well? If defender draws first are you going to take the 750k or walk out of the room for a guarantee of at least 5m via the deepening or resistance? In either case you're playing the bidders of one service vs the others so I don't really see that Droit playing one seller vs another. After all, if you sell deepening he's out in the cold. I suppose it will all be a bit clearer once the release schedule comes out. Best of luck to all. I hope you can all get what you want with a minimum of headache.

Those who are not comfortable with this are more than welcome to find someone else who will honor their offer, but it does not work for what i am providing and they are also driving up the cost of legitimate bids which is unfair to all those other people.

The high bids on each service here are not guaranteed a win, but they are guaranteed that service should that service be won. It is not hedging my bets as there is no protection for me, a correct correlation of this would be me bidding on my own items. I do see what you are trying to get at, I just don't agree, as a service will be won by someone other than myself. If you are saying I am trying to make the most money for this auction, well duh, im not really posting this to not make money.

Edit: Actually as I just updated the bids, a great example of hedging bets IN THE CORRECT MANNER would be Aramyr. He has bid on both deepening and resists. That way he is protected by betting on two of the three services.

I'd be happy with either, and say deepen went first, I can still afford resists from someone if they are for sale and price doesn't get totally insane. Hopefully we'll see a schedule soon though.

Defender is now tied in with deepening. When I get a chance I will merge the two. Also, we are going to restructure the bids a bit as we now have 3 people who are participating in selling their spots, so we will be taking the three highest bids, thereby increasing odds for winning.
