Did Rubio call the apology pathetic, or did he call Obama pathetic?

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) blasted President Obama's apology to an art professor as “pathetic” in a tweet on Wednesday.

Pathetic Obama apology to art history prof. We do need more degrees that lead to #jobs via @POLITICO for iOS http://t.co/dy3OvLhLEc

Obama apologized to University of Texas art history Professor Ann Collins Johns in a handwritten note after the educator complained via the White House website about a joke the president made disparaging art history majors.

During remarks at a General Electric engine plant outside Milwaukee late last month, Obama said Americans who sought manufacturing training rather than liberal arts degrees stood to make more money.

“I promise you, folks can make a lot more, potentially, with skilled manufacturing or the trades than they might with an art history degree,” Obama said. “Now, nothing wrong with an art history degree — I love art history. So I don't want to get a bunch of emails from everybody.”

In his letter, Obama apologized for the “glib remark.”

It almost feels like 2016.

I've been too busy making an Altoids survival tin to post for the last few days. I'm back to posting now that I've completed step 1 by eating the Altoids.
