This is the scenario. Your son gets caught under a railroad bridge and a train filled with 350 people are 3 minutes away. You can either lower the bridge and crush the living day lights out of him and watch him die or you can raise it and kill everyone on the train but you'd save your son. What would you do?

Depends.
Am I a lesbian mother living in Dallas?

Are you STILL confused about your sexual orientation? tsk tsk....
On Topic, this is a no brainer, my son is who I would save.

That makes one of you.
Anyway....
Logically, you'd want to save the 350 people.
Human instinct says I'd save my son, though.

I would save the people on the train. Pregnant women, toddlers, Senior citizens (well, we dont really care about them), and many others are on the train and I wouldnt be able to live with myself knowing I killed all those people. If I had time I would try to save my son but if it had to be an immediate decision and I couldnt waste any time, I would kill my son.

On the other hand...
If I kill my son and save the people, I'll become a herO, be famous, go on TV, write a book, be ridiculously rich, then be Michiko's sugar daddy for the rest of my life.
So maybe killing my son isn't so bad.

I never even thought of it that way. Now I stand by my decision 150%.

No, i'd save my son for the reason I posted the first time. Large sums of money and popularity is just a plus.

No.
I'd be doing it for the 350 people, of course.
Silly you.

I mean i'd kill my son for the reason I posted the first time.
Because I'm super awesome, I'd save my son, then use my super special powers to stop the train.

I would not morally be able to kill my son. I would not be able to push the button to have him die. However, I believe that saving the train is what is right in that situation, as 350 > 1 in overall importance.

My son would tell me to lower the bridge. But Nien's and Stan's ideas are definite Plan B's.

I'd save MY son because I know thats what the people on the train would do. They'd save their son if they were faced with the same situation. Well most of them would.

I'd save the people, mainly because I would like to think that if someone had to make a choice between my life and the lives of 350 other innocent people, they would chose to sacrafice mine.

I'd save my son than loot all the bodies who perished on the train.

I would gladly sacrifice my life for 350 people however I couldn't sacrifice my sons

If the boy was stupid enough to get caught then natural selection was taking his part. I'd jump under and die too for procreating and making a son with only a GED education.

You are way more nobel then I. I would hope if that person had to choose between me and 350 people, I would be saved. I know where is the sense of humanity? Well its keeping my ass alive thank you! :D
Save my son, hands down.
