God has made it His life mission to make sure I have car problems every few months.
So the latest bit of fun started a few days ago when I noticed my car was leaking oil. Since I had the oil changed the week before I figured it was something they did so I took it back to where I got the oil changed and they said the person who did the oil change must have accidentally got some oil in the belly pan.
The way they were talking I thought they were saying they found the oil, cleaned it up and my car shouldn't leak oil anymore.
So a couple of days later I noticed my car is still leaking oil. I call the place back and I got the same guy I got last time I called about this and he said once oil gets in the belly pan it's really hard to get it out and the only thing they could do for me is pressure wash it to try and get the oil out other than that I just have to wait for it all to leak out. This sounded reasonable considering I know jack shit about cars and had no idea what a belly pan was so I left it at that.
However I was just Googling belly pans and they don't look all that difficult to remove, y'know assuming you're at a car shop and you have a lift and all of the tools and you remove this shit for a living. Are they really just giving me the brush off and they don't want to pay someone 30-45 minutes of labor to fix their fuck up? Or is really as difficult as the guy was claiming it would be?
