We're all playing on the Exclusive Simu Club server. Just costs a mere 100 dollars per month per account per character per game command.

Do other online games go down like GS does? Just curious, I have never played any of the others.

Yea, it depends on the game WoW has a weekly down time for server maintenance and even Eve has the occasional down time. Of course they all tell you at least a week in advance when and for how long they are going to be down.

Pretty often. It tends to be scheduled, but not always. GS might go down for 20 minutes, but maintenance and/or game crashes in other games are usually 5-24 hours.

yea, it happens, specially during new releases, patches, events, spikes in population, etc

Though, those games have graphics and take up alot more bandwidth and memory.

One would think in this age of technology a text based game from the 90's wouldn't be too hard to keep up, but I honestly have no idea of the little nuances involved.

The problem is it's running on technology from the 90's :D

At least they have backups, but I doubt they have anything much in terms of HA. I hope to god they at least have redundant resources because as you said...good lord. I'm sure I could run the game on whatever random Pentium3/4 i have up in the closet. Hell, I'll ship them my spare RaspPi. That should do it.

You can buy one a month with a premium sub. Shipping on those things has to be like half the cost, yo.
