Could anyone post, or point me in the direction of, bolt DF's for Wizard spells please? Thanks.

I'll second that, I had this saved somewhere but I've lost it, it would be nice to know...

I do know one thing the DF on 910 is seriously insane against some armours.

<<I do know one thing the DF on 910 is seriously insane against some armours.>>

That was changed so long ago. I've never seen any updated numbers.

Hurl boulder- GOOD!
Lighthing-GOOD!
Fire ball - not so good, but AVD is good
Ice ball - see above
Fire stream - pretty good
water - good on undead
acid - nod bad for 3 mana
minor shock - we have minor shock?

could be any DF you want with lores anyway.

Acid costs 4 mana. Water costs 3.

Most of the time I find that acid is a slightly better version of water against the undead...

Acid is a very good low mana spell. Lethal on arch wights for certain.

If I get a chance I can go cast at a bunch of shit and see what damage it does. Or if anyone doesn't mind dying we can buy a bunch of basic armors and roast you over and over

I like 906 with 50 fire lores.

With 50 ranks of Fire Lore

>906 rolt
*** TypoHelp: Converted "906 rolt" to PREP 906 and CAST AT rolt

Your hands glow with power as you invoke the phrase for Minor Fire...
Your spell is ready.
>
You gesture at a rolton.
You hurl a stream of fire at a rolton!
AS: +396 vs DS: +25 with AvD: +55 + d100 roll: +93 = +519
... and hit for 325 points of damage!
Right arm scorched so bad it might as well be gone.
The rolton bleats loudly as she slumps to the ground and cradles her wounded right foreleg.
The rolton lets out a final agonized bleat and dies.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

And then...

>910 rolt
*** TypoHelp: Converted "910 rolt" to PREP 910 and CAST AT rolt

Your hands glow with power as you invoke the phrase for Major Shock...
Your spell is ready.
>
You gesture at a rolton.
You hurl a powerful lightning bolt at a rolton!
AS: +396 vs DS: +5 with AvD: +50 + d100 roll: +85 = +526
... and hit for 350 points of damage!
Hideously bright electrical bolt sends left hand into another universe. Happy traveling.
The rolton bleats loudly as she slumps to the ground and cradles her wounded left hoof.
The rolton lets out a final agonized bleat and dies.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Someone else do the math.

The problem there is there are no magic crit tables...

How did you figure those out, without magic crit tables?

This is great info, thanks Hectomancer.

yeah, so with lack of crit table, not sure how accurate those are. i wish i had one for 510, i use that most of the time, and it hits like a brick, obviously being a boulder. love it a lot

Without crit tables, it's probably guessing and thus wrong.

I had the old magic DFs, and I'm positive they were accurate. Unfortunately, they've changed, rendering the entire site obsolete. :(

Say, I never learned how to read those tables, being a pure wizard and never using weapons. Anyone care to explain it to me? Like which values are against which armour? And how to do the math in the first place?

<< I never learned how to read those tables >>

I never bothered either, I'd just use the lowest cost spell that does decent damage. :D

Eventually you will be able to Leech enough mana to use the big spells as often as you like, and still have mana leftover when you reach fried.
