I'd be willing to give it a shot.

No hints. Just click without preconceived notions. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/08/01/wblood01.xml)

Is this something I can view at work?

At first, I'd say HELL MOTHER FUCKING NO.

But, I think if someone just slipped it to me without telling me what it was, and I liked it, and THEN they told me...I'd kick their ass first, and then probably continue eating it.

It is totally work safe. It's science in action.

If you can eat a McDonald chicken nugget then you should have no problems with this

OK, ew. Ew to chicken nuggets, too.

Hey, lotsa folks eat fast food and like rare steaks.

09-15-2004, 02:22 AM
I've eatten blood sausage. Nasty as fuck. No idea why this would taste any better.

I must admit to an initial reaction of 'ewwww' myself before I thought about it. I'm not a vegetarian. I eat blood every time I eat meat. As pointed out, blood is used in a number of European dishes and the Masai subsist (or used to - no idea if they still do) on a diet of milk and blood. And since you wouldn't be chugging it down in liquid form... Hell, why not try it at least.

I wonder if they're going to start recycling tampons and pads for this.

I don't eat McDonalds period. Their food makes me vomit every time I eat it.

Nakiro, please die. Thanks.

I would, based on what a couple of you said, fast food is equally if not more disgusting and a fair majority of our country thrive on that alone. Plus, you get superpowers and absorb life-force. Win-Win there.

I like my steak rare for sure, just run the cow by the table and I'll eat off a piece. But this is gross.

I'm on the fence.

On one hand I love a good rare steak and I'll do the completely unkosher act of draining my plate.

On the other hand though we're talking processed blood. Not steak juice. This stuff doesn't have the fatty oils, it coagulates ... it just sort of churns my stomach.

If I could grow a third hand I would say it's a good idea simply because it cuts down on the sheer waste and disposal costs on the food industry.

I don't think I'll be standing in line for a slice of chocolate/blood cream pie however.

How is it any different than eating a bloody piece of steak? I don't get it.

If you have had a really rare steak and have also consumed blood (Hunting tradition) you would know that neither have any similarity in taste, texture, or smell.

I haven't. Whenever I ate steak, I never preferred it bloody. While consuming blood may be a hunting tradition (taking your word for it), I don't see how this article is relative to that. It seems like blood was just a part of the recipe in the biscuits. That's entirely different than drinking blood as some kind of hunting ritual.

True enough, but would you eat a biscuit made of worms?

Some cultures eat insects, if you weren't a vegetarian would you?

It boils down to the culture. In our culture only the disturbed and vampire obsessed bother with blood.

NEW Bloodclot Reeses! Hardened before it gets to your arteries!

The first paragraph of the story made me think they were using human blood at first, until I got to the cow part. I can just see it now... cows all tubed up syphoning blood and milk all day and night.

Would you ever try human flash? Say someone died and dedicated their body to the cullinary arts. I would be interested.

I really don't think I could eat that stuff unless they didn't tell me what it was.

This is so gross. You couldn't pay me enough to try this stuff.

I would try it. My original reaction was no but reading about how it was processed I'd give it a shot as long as it didn't taste like blood.

I thought it was human blood at first too, but either way I wouldn't mind (although Nakiro's post gave me pause).

I will eat just about anything, though this particular one I'd probably pass on. Blood in general is a notorious carrier of disease and virii... I'd pass.

Chelle

No I wouldn't eat it. It's one thing to eat meat even though it already has blood in it, and a who nother thing to deliberately put blood into something, when it isn't necessary. Why in the world does yogurt need blood in it? It was fine for the past 24948373 years without the blood. So was chocolate. Hands off the chocolate you bitches!

I have yet to come across anything on this globe I woulnd't be willing to eat (and I'm talking MOSTLY food here with other weird things I devoured on drunken bets).

I would try it, but I'm in no hurry to go out and buy some "Blood-Chip Cookies".....and why the hell can't I buy any black pudding out here in the states, its so bloody good

Not too much of an expert on it if you think virii is a word.

Taken from the article:
'People should not be apprehensive. When you eat meat, there is blood in that.'

No meat for you.
