After years/decades of procrastination, I started playing Final Fantasy III on my SNES emulator last night.

It seems pretty awesome so far, especially for its age. Not that that was unexpected, but yeah.

What old games did you mean to play but never got around to?

I don't. I've long since smashed all mirrors in my house.

I have always wanted to play Megaman Ultra. I just never had the time.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night if that's old enough. Also I really wanted to actually play "Mousetrap." I just couldn't ever stop setting off/resetting the trap long enough.

How do you look yourself in the mirror every day?In what universe is not playing FF7 more of a disgrace than not playing FF6, the greatest FF of all time? OF ALL TIME!!

I also want to play Mega Men 9 and 10, but I'm about four generations behind so maybe later.

The last set of games that I really wish I played but never got around to them was Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 + expansions.

Which has been taken care of as of a few weeks ago thanks to the Enhanced Editions available on Steam.

Ooh that reminds me! I still haven't finished Skyrim or New Vegas, even though I've put like 60+ hours into them. I don't think I'm even very far on the main storyline in Skyrim either.

Played the original Lunar on Sega CD a couple years ago. I started in on the sequel but probably need to start again. I've got the original guide books around, too. The first Lunar, anyway, was great.

I got about about 75% through Sonic Heroes on Dreamcast when the (pretty new) system quit because Dreamcast was a piece of shit. I'm still pissed off and want to finish it just because I had worked so hard at it.

I never got around to checking out Star Control 3. SC2 is one of my top games ever, and I can never seem to remember 3 when I'm at home and can go look for it.

Wow... someone else that A) Had a Sega CD, and (B) Played Lunar. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time.

While I don't think it was working designs, Lunar and Lunar 2 were re-released on the Playstation 1, and the port with minor game differences and enhancements were actually incredibly well done. The original Sega CD titles really didn't age as well as nostalgia seems to think they would. I do recommend picking up the PS remakes.

Speaking of Sega CD, Snatcher was an awesome game. I played through it, but always meant to play through it again and never did, which means that sort of counts for this thread.

I don't even remember that. I think all I do remember is some corpse getting eaten by maggots, and that little robot called Meral Gear that did a bunch of shit.

And I wanna say some shower scene with a chick that I remembered reading about how in the Japanese version she was 14 and they changed it to 18 for here.

And I remember the whole game being badass. I just can't remember why.

It's Kojima doing Blade Runner basically, with art from the guy who made Silent Hill, Siren, and Gravity Rush. It's a good idea in general.

Oddly.. I had a Sega CD. Played a few games for it, but nothing terribly memorable.

Sega Saturn now.. that was different. LOVED Dragon Force. And Shinning Force 3. Tho that pissed me off.. only gave us part of a game, those bastards.

I tried out EarthBound (SNES) and Planescape: Torment (PC) for the first time recently. I enjoyed both but they didn't get their hooks in the same way a game does when there's a nostalgia factor involved. I don't know how many times I've played the Quest for Glory series for that reason.
