Definitely need a thread just for this game.
I still think it's the Bronco's game to lose. Better D-line v O-line matchup (though the Seattle D-line probably would rank higher than Broncos O-line), best combination of QB and Receivers to go against the Legion of Doom in the NFL, More experienced impact veterans and specifically more experienced Head Coach/QB combo in super bowls.
I am worried about the weather though. Bronco's can't really run all over anyone, but Marshawn Lynch can. Bronco's shut down the Patriots run game but that's no comparison.
Sounds like Harvin is a go as well for the big game. He might not be he usual self yet, but he will be sure to add a dynamic element to our pass game, which we could certainly use.

Well imo, any true fan of football would agree that playing a full season is quite the feat. No matter what position you play, save for maybe kickers and punters. Before last year when he was out for almost half a season, his injuries weren't anything out of the norm. In fact he played all but 1 or 2 games each season up until last year.
But regardless, by "his usual self" I just meant his performance and playing at 100%. We haven't even seen him make plays like he did for the Vikings yet, having not been in training camp and getting used to taking football hits (oh and having a freshly repaired labrum). Throw a couple glimmers of production from Harvin into the mix on sunday like he did before he got hurt last year and the Hawks could put on a show. We shall see.

I was one off on SEC bowl game wins. They went 7-3 instead of my predicted 8-2. Sorry. :(
Out of the dozens of games I have made predictions for this year, mostly college, I have generally been correct. Everyone misses a few sometimes. You have seen me wrong on a total of two games.
Heck, I probably have a better record than Kirk Herbstreit, that SEC hating mother fucker. He does make calls on a lot more games then I do though.

I was seriously one of two Saints fans in my entire Platoon. Others were like "I'd like the Saints to win, but I know they won't so I'm for the Colts." That game was just painful to watch.
The first play set the tone ... and with the Denver special teams overpursuing Percy to the outside (of course he flew up the middle for TD return), and then Demaryius Thomas's long-gain then coughs up the ball...
Kinda lends credence to how some people say that the Superbowls were all rigged (and incidentally many of them being ugly uncompetitive games, despite the 2 weeks worth of hype).

Thomas had a rather bad game. Made some mental errors which I wonder if were a result of being in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, the only one I thought was a pretty 'bad' call was in the first quarter where they didn't give Seattle that first down and spotted the ball a yard behind where Wilson went out of bounds. I thought they even got the challenge wrong, and the spot incredibly wrong. After that, it didn't really matter though.
There were a few questionable no-calls on both sides of the ball as far as pass interference too, but it wasn't terrible officiating.

That was gay as hell; I got about ten seconds into it. In other news, Tagliabue > Goodell.

Why does almost everyone who wore glasses in the 70s through the early 90s look like a child molester?

There you go again with the Us Vs. Them ideology. You think we are on two different teams playing a game and the only thing that matters is the final score. That thinking is what perverts your arguments and logic. Step back from it a little bit, take a deep breath and get some perspective. It's true that I defend Obama and programs like ACA on this website. It's hard not to when the right wing nut jobs are so vehement in their nonsensical attacks of "obummer" as some like to call him.
I've also asked questions like why you hate him so much. Corporations are kicking ass, Drill Baby Drill? We're doing it, taxes are still low, deficit is shrinking, deportations are high. There's a lot going on that any republican president would love to have happen on his watch. You attack him for everything, but credit him with nothing. And that is why you see people defending the President.

Corporations seem to be struggling, further drilling is difficult due to reluctance of issuing permits, nevermind for refineries, ACA was a huge tax increase, and deportation efforts are being hamstring (ie Arizona) by the administration.
Probably the only good thing so far has been wider availability of birth control. Where the heck do you get the incorrect impressions in your quote from? MSNBC?

Drill Baby Drill? We're doing it
Pretty sure most of that is private land (North Dakota, etc.) and is in spite of Obama, not because of Obama.
How much has drilling in the Gulf picked back up since the BP spill compared to how it was previously?
taxes are still low
deficit is shrinking
Just as an easy number example, if your first year deficit was 1 trillion dollars higher than the previous year, and the following year it was 500 billion, that's not reducing the deficit by 500 billion. It's increasing the deficit by half as much as you did the previous year. That might be how Congress does their math, but in the real world with real numbers, no.

Saw Manning had the third lowest yards per completion (pretty sure that was the stat) all-time for QBs in the Super Bowl. I'd be interested to see which two schleps had less than his ~8 considering who we're talking about, but not so much that I'm gonna google it.

You do know Obama has nothing to do with the Drill Baby Drill, right? As for taxes, they are only "low" because the Republicans won't let him raise them.
On another note... Hows those Broncos doing?

They do all the time. Why do you think every President invites them to the Whitehouse.
It's sad really... Discover a new Element, a Planet, or find a treatment/cure for a disease... Nothing..
Run really fast with a football, get a parade and meet the President.

They have to do everything they can to maintain the appearance of relevance. Maybe next time someone will take logistical advantage of having them all on one bus.
