If you died in OTF recently and lost something, send me a private message describing the item.
I expect a reward.

Two more days and I am claiming the item as my own. Fair warning.
Use a bard you say to determine the owner? Explain to me the policy that dictates such an action. Note I said the policy, not the "you should be a nice guy just because" approach.

you know, one of the many local bards can just sing to find its owner.

Because you'll probably lose something one day and need someone else to not be a dick in order to get it back.

I think a bard could find out who it belongs to.

As long as it was registered and reported as lost, the owner will show in the loresong

Ive had names show up in lore songs even for items that haven't been reported as lost. Maybe it's just the registration that triggers the bard song.

How do you report an item lost? I've never heard of being able to do that before.
Candor

Yes I know that a bard can identify the owner.
This is me not caring. If you lose something of value and don't mention it, and don't respond to my post, tough cookies.
Heck you're lucky I do even this much. Unless I see the incident (in which case I would return the item if I could retrieve it), I am under no obligation to do anything.

Town registrar can also inform you who to whom an item was registered. Syntax is Register INFO <item>
I know you aren't under any obligation to do any of this but even being lazy I'd think you'd want to know if you actually had lost property as opposed to just finding a nice creature drop.

So basically you're just attention whoring.

And I'm under no obligation to respect you.
See how that works? It's a win win.

Look at me! I'm EEEvil! (but not really since I'm still posting. But I have to keep up appearances. Really I'm just fucking boring.)

Keep in mind, too, that not every person who plays GS uses these boards. Nor does everyone play frequently enough to immediately notice that an item is even missing.

The reason you would find out who it is registered to is for the reward you demanded for its return.

If that's the best you can do, then I feel sorry for you.
How old are you IRL anyway? Because you act like a 13 year old MySpace girl.

Wait wait wait, Methais uses a forum for its intended purpose; making posts and engaging in discussions?
Get the fuck outta here, loser!

It's tough to argue that you are at all in the right when you start a thread that all but explicitly states the following:
I have your item
I know who you are (you obviously sang the item to figure out what it was, and assuming it's as nice as you implied, it was all but certainly registered)
I won't give it back unless you ask
I still won't give it back unless you pay
I won't ever give it back unless you claim it within the next 72 hours

There was probably no lost item to begin with and this thread is just Candor being Candor.
