You see Aerain the Empath.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Kytawa D'ahranal.
She appears to be immature and taller than average. She has sultry stormy grey eyes and alabaster skin. She has very long, tied back dark blonde hair with lighter streaks. She has a heart-shaped face, a small nose and dimpled cheeks.
She has a filigreed ivory bone stud in her lip, and a diamond-inset black stone stud in her right eyebrow.
She has some minor cuts and bruises on her left hand, and some minor cuts and bruises on her right hand.
She has old battle scars on her right arm, old battle scars on her left arm, old battle scars on her right leg, old battle scars on her left leg, an old battle scar across her chest, an old battle scar across her abdominal area, an old battle scar across her back, a black-and-blue right eye, a black-and-blue left eye, and a scar across her neck.
She is holding a thick white puma hide blanket in her right hand.
She is wearing a gold-bound azure blazestar choker, a leopard quartz-inset barrette, a diamond-set cloudy glaes thigh-case, a side-slit black leather skirt, a silk dragon crested pouch, a front-laced white velvet bodice, a scarlet-edged white silk sash, a web-draped white spidersilk cloak edged with golden silk trim, a snow white velvet backpack, some black spidersilk stockings, a fragile white heather wristlet, a gold-threaded silvery hip satchel, a strand of pearls, some golden high heeled slippers, a chalk white vest, a snake-etched steel crown, and a glossy black imflass shield.

Bob, you know you crack me up, but would it have been so hard to try and interact, you know ROLEPLAY with this person to verbally explain to them that you don't like being pounced apon and healed without being asked?

This whole killing-the-empath-and-beating-fists-aginst-chest thing is starting to get old.

With no interaction involved, you would be very hard pressed to explain that as anything but abuse to a GM. Your character wasn't left any worse off for being healed. Didn't pipe out any complaint. Nothing.

What I don't get is, why don't people who hate being healed so much turn their demeanor cold? Is it because they like ganking people for next to no reason?

Bobmuhthol

Yes because if they do that, it takes away their motive to bitch someone out or kill them for something trivial.

Same with people who don't want to be touched in general. These are the people that set their demeanor friendly yet when a guy hugs them hello, they tell them off and say they're not gay, blah blah blah, and then a woman smooches him and he calls her a slut for kissing him without his permission. Yeah buddy, turn your demeanor to reserved and this wouldn't happen. But if he did that he couldn't be a dick. Where's the fun in that? :D

Artha
09-11-2004, 05:38 PM
Yes because if they do that, it takes away their motive to bitch someone out or kill them for something trivial.

Wrong. I have a reserved demeanor, but I have empaths set to neutral. Why? Because if I ask to be healed, I don't want to set it to neutral and back every time.

Go right ahead.

09-11-2004, 09:14 PM
I don't get this.

Why does every character need to have a time to "have a battle of the wits" or you're not RPing? It's so incredibly stupid to me. Not everyone else wants to have a war with words. It's not realistic expect everyone in Elanthia is like that. It's almost as stupid as those two gay guys going to Canada.

- Arkans

MrThorbizzle
09-11-2004, 09:20 PM
Well, as you can see Arkans, Bob didn't want to interact at all. He was spoiling for a fight...he admits as much.

Not liking to be vultured is fine, but don't use it as a reason to randomly lash out.

09-11-2004, 09:28 PM
I hate to be the one that pisses on everyone's parade, but shoving a claidhmore through someone is, in fact, interaction.

VERBAL. There. Is that more clear?

09-11-2004, 09:33 PM
Yes, much more clear.

So, why is every character required to have a verbal interaction first? Why can't someone play a "shoot first, ask questions later" type of character?

Look up policy or ask a GM if that type of behavior is acceptable.

It doesn't even have to be a verbal response but there has to be some sort of indication that the act of healing him is the initiation of conflict.

Gemstone is a multi-player game. Players can not read the mind of other players. You have to give them some sort of action to respond to. Immediately smashing their skull in is *not* acceptable in accordance with Simu policy.

I've no idea how long ago its been, I would imagine that the GM's have the details on your record, and that your record is reviewed everytime your actions are in question. One would think that a history of that nature would impact future dealings. I think they call it recitivisim.
