So now that they've released the skill costs for Paladins...Anyone come up with any good training regimens?

If I switch, it will be something like 2X Two-handers, 2x CM, 1x Dodge, 1x PT, 1x HP, 1x Spells. At least as a start.

Yeah, I'm thinking Paladins will really have to rely on feint, or something similar.

Armor Use x2 - 9/0
Dodging x1 - 8/5 (SHIELD FOR OHE x2 - 12/0)
Combat Manuevers x2 - 15/12
Polearm x2 - 15/6
Physical Training x2 - 9/0
harness power x1 - 0/5
perception x.5 - 0/(1 1/2)
Spell Research x1 - 0/24

POLEARM - 56/53 (1/2)
TWO HANDED WEAPON - 53/53 (1/2)
EDGED WEAPONS - 54/45 (1/2)

but won't I need x2 dodge if I am using a polearm of two handed weapon?

Nope, don't really think so.

I'd like to see how a polearming Paladin will work. It's slightly more expensive than a 2HW route, though I think it could be a fun alternative.

I know you manage as a ranger, but he won't have that phantom 1x mobiles provide.

Yeah, I brought up the whole problem here: http://forum.gsplayers.com/viewthread.php?tid=9257

I guess what I meant was: realistically Paladins won't be able to 2x so they will have to manage, just looking at the numbers, 2x doesn't seem viable.

I just want to know if it's going to be viable to switch my warrior over to paladin and be able to use polearms because I will never use anything but polearms. by the time the switch happens my warrior will be 30 probably and I am really interested in doing it but I don't want to make a huge mistake and get screwed and i'm not very good with numbers and such.

I imagine it will be a huge change as and a lot more difficult because right now I hunt 5-10 trains over my level without many problems and with minimal spells on and I want to have this freedom as a Paladin. I guess what I like most is I will be almost as strong as my warrior is but have 20 spells at my disposal I espically like the group spells and the paladin strength spell.

If you can't outhunt a square when playing a semi I think it's fair to say that you did something wrong.

You will have to keep yourself spelled up, but psinet makes this nice and easy with spellup auto. Just run that and go do something else for a little bit while you rest from a hunt.
