So I'm re-joining the lands but the last time I played (COUGH 8 years ago COUGH) I was in college with a Dell desktop (or was it a Gateway 2000? Eesh.) I've never played GS on a Mac but I downloaded Avalon and while it looks a bit like the Wizard I remember, it's also a pain in the ass.

I have no idea how to run scripts.

I found some scary programmer directions on the Lich site for Macs that I tried to follow but it didn't work and because I'm not a programmer I'm not sure what I did wrong.

Does anyone have some advice for running scripts for Mac that are relatively simple (and not "get a PC", ha) for a n00b like me? Much thanks in advance.

I also tried installing Yasse but got the following error message:

"Bad CPU type in executable"

Any help please?

http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?69802-OSX-Lion-Lich-Avalon-(tutorial-amp-tips) might help.

I installed XCode, Xquartz, and then used homebrew instead of macports. I run Lich from the command line in xquartz and then connect as normal with Avalon. Everything seems to function fine.
