a flat-topped golden rolaren band set with spectral blue crystal runes
The golden rolaren band contains the spell Heroism, from the Major Spiritual circle.
The band resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 5 to Strength.
The band looks to have more than your average giantman could count charges remaining.
You sense that the golden rolaren band will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.
You sense that the golden rolaren band will persist after its last magical charge has been expended.
You analyze your golden rolaren band and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
The creator has also provided the following information:
* 15/15/15 alterations only.
* Must remain sufficiently sized to hold a setting for a crystal. (black/white/blue crystal?)
This golden rolaren band is unlocked.
The golden rolaren band has a special socket for crystal runes currently.
CB: SOLD.

So it is a crystal holder with a heroism crystal that boosts strength or it has strength, heroism, and holds crystals?

it is a blank crystal holder that is also a heroism imbed that has a strength enhancive. that would be my guess anyway from what the other are.

It's a crystal holder with a blue crystal inside currently I believe, but it also casts heroism and is strength enhancive.

The heroism is not much of a deal since it's not rechargable. Still a nice ring though, with the strength enhancive and the crystal holder.

It's not mage rechargable but it should be merchant rechargable if I'm not mistaken.

I'm curious how activation works. Must be tap activated for the heroism and rub for the crystal?
Yes, it is merchant rechargeable for sure. Bad ass ring.

Eh. I've had plain imbedables rejected by merchants on more than one occasion. They might make an exception for heroism due to the strange oddity that is mangled steel spoons. It's still a nice ring regardless.

Pull the crystal out and I bet it won't sing as casting heroism.
It's just a +5 strength ring that can hold crystals.
edit: To be more clear, it's the crystal already in it that's giving it the 215 spell. Pull the crystal it came with out, then pop in a white crystal and it'll sing as casting 509, not 215

Sure, if a blue crystal was 215 instead of 117, spirit strike.

Because blue crystals can never be anything else?

[ising]>loresing crystal that I hold;let your value now be told
You sing:
"Crystal that I hold
Let your value now be told"
Roundtime: 6 sec.
As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the fog-swept blue crystal in your hand, and you learn something about it...
This is a small item, under a pound. In your best estimation, it's worth about 20,000 silvers.

Also, banking on any heroism item being recharged is really optimistic at this point.
I can't remember the last time I saw spiritual spells being accepted by a merchant doing recharging. All I can remember for the last several years is the absolute exclusion of spiritual spells.

I think that's a little harsh. I've gotten spiritual items recharged many times during that timeframe, and they recharge mangled steel spoons (heroism) often. A better question would be, can you remove the crystal? If you can, without breaking it, I'd say you have a very good chance of being able to merchant recharge it.

If the ring has the spell, you have a chance with a 'spirit spell recharging merchant' but if its a crystal with 215 (crumbly) in the ring, you are less likely to find someone to charge it....ask Ledirth, he'll know!

Tamuz posted the following on the official forums:
Crystals only.
They were originally hard coded to only allow blue, white, black, and alchemy created crystals, but I revisited the script early this year and updated it a bit. They now accept any "crystal" that casts a spell based on RUB. The original crystals (blue, white, black, alchemy created) get fancy messaging when used in the unlocked versions, but that's it.
When the magical item charges are used up, the crystal will shatter and you can add a new crystal to it, the jewelry itself remains safe.
Many of the prizes here for Droughtman's Challenge have fancy spells with more charges than you'll find in normal jewelry, but the real prize is the enhancive holder itself. Consider the spells a bit of icing.
It sounds like this may be a unique heroism blue crystal with more charges than you would normally find.

Info note - you cannot remove the heroism crystal without breaking it, but the good news is I only cracked it! I don't really have a need to use it at this moment in time, so I will try to have it fully charged to 40? hopefully at the next recharging session I find...which, by the way, I have seen many times in the past 3 years as well. All of my spoons are fully charged.
