I would think that there is already some communication monitoring. I can see the use of mmorpgs as an effective method for secret communication. Especially a game as under the radar as Gemstone. I can just hear the interview years later "we picked an obscure text game almost no one plays anymore rather than something like WOW because we figured communication in the bigger games would be monitored...

I pity whoever has to sift through in-game chatter trying to suss out violent extremists.

But I am incredibly eager to see the results of the VW-RW analysis. I have no doubt that being a terrible person online is correlated with those tendencies offline, but it would be nice to have empirical information to back that up. Thanks, government!
