Folks in the Gulf Coast Stats as well as Florida might want to keep a wary eye to the south for Hurricane Ivan (Cat. 5). The path of Ivan is still uncertain but experts project the path move towards the gulf side of Florida and westwards. (weather.com)

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water...

All I gotta say is that the western carribean better clear out by the time my cruise shoves off in 2 weeks. :rant:

Heh. I always thought they ought to PAY people to take cruises in the Caribbean in September! :D

I got married beginning of October last year and we cruised the western carribean from Miami. If I were getting married this year, I'd be beside myself.

What ports are you going to visit?

This stinks, my friend is supposed to take her honeymoon on Sunday -- and they can't yet tell her if it's cancelled or not. It's a cruise, I think. :-\

Congrats on getting married, we celebrated our 11th year this last August.

Ports of call:

Leave from Galveston:

1. Key West (if there's anything left)
2. Georgetown (Grand Cayman)
3. Cancun

Back to Galveston on the 7th day.

Congrats to you as well. We were together for 10 years before we married - so I'm a tad bit older than what one might think.

We went to Belize, Isla Roatan, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

I HIGHLY recommend the stringray adventure in Grand Cayman. That and the snorkeling - once in a lifetime treat that I'll never ever forget.
